Terrible, rude and condescending manager. Came in for a birthday cone but forgot my ID ā fully expected they might say no to the birthday cone due to policy and I was totally fine with that! Policy is policy. However, the manager immediately gave a distrusting attitude as if I came in to scam them. Instead of simply saying no (nothing wrong with that), she kept saying thereās no way I donāt have an ID on me, implying that she thinks weāre lying, and making unrealistic suggestions for me to retrieve my ID just so she feels validated in that Iām a liar :( She kept saying āoh itās not that hard for someone to take a photo and send it to you right?ā āYou canāt ask someone to go into your room and send you the ID?ā ā I told her I live over an hour away and no other person has access to my IDā¦and Iād rather not get the cone since itās not that serious. But she repeated those questions (pretending to be helpful) but she was happy to hear me say itās not possible since it confirms her distrusting thoughts
She honoured the cone at the end but the whole experience was so terrible, I didnāt even care about the cone at that point. Itās literally just ice cream. The young staff was really great though, sorry you have to work with...

My custom caked was cancelled with a phone call at 9:00pm the night before my son's 1st birthday. When I finally got ahold of the owner/manager after various ignored attempts, he basically blamed it on the machine and made excuse after excuse about how it wasn't their problem. After arguing with him to a point where he realized himself that his rationale didn't make any sense, he got annoyed and bluntly throws the jab that he was busy with his other 4 Marble Slab franchises and I was monopolizing too much of his time. This owner is a fine example of the short sightedness that plagues many small businesses these days. Reputation and word of mouth, especially in a small town like Milton, is incredibly important for survival. I will be making a point to tell everyone I know to stay as far away from this business as they possibly can. I have also called the Marble Slab head office and expressed my disappointment in this stores representation of the company's values. Vibe of the store: 3 yrs ago and today June 2021 same service really awkward and timid people working here. No eye contact. There is not welcoming message only a transactional base service. What should be a fully customizable service turns to be a silence feedback from the preparation personnel at the back.
Flavour of just the ice cream: there has to be a major change in suppliers or something. Coconut ice cream tasted more like plain milk. I was expecting to taste like coconut or if you go the complete organic route of not artificial flavour to at least encounter small chunks of coconut in the ice cream. But there was nothing to be found. Note I asked for just coconut ice cream nothing else, no mix in anything. The swirl chocolate ice cream was terrible too. It tasted exactly similar of what you can make at home with chocolate milk and half half coffee creamer.
This will officially be my last visit to this location. I remember the ice cream being good...
