Hm where do I start... how about OUTSTANDING?? The mission horse brunch restaurant is a *MUST* for anyone looking for the perfect dining experience. First off- the decor. They said what they needed to say in the name of the establishment, plain and simple - HORSE. The sheer amount of horse memorabilia is in the 100's; not an inch that could stable a piece of noble steed decor was spared! Some might even call it a horse girl's paradise. The service was absolutely phenomenal, we were well taken care of, the lovely servers were extremely hospitable and warm. As for the chefs- talk about talent! The star of the show for us was the POUTINE. It was the perfect amount of gravy to have some left to share with a friend who needs a lil somethin somethin on their side fries, but not so much that it was a soup. The flavour of that gravy gives me hope for the world. I won't stop there, we ordered a wide array of brunch menu items that were all fantastic in their own rights, which all came out in a timely manner considering the size of our party. The attention to detail, in both meal and decor, the kind staff and high quality atmosphere completely blew us away. All this to say, we left our hearts at the mission horse brunch restaurant.

I have not been to the Horse Brunch for a few years until recently. This restaurant and Embers BBQ had combined as one establishment, with business hours expanding up to 8 pm, instead of 3 when it was just the Horse Brunch. They also serve all-day breakfast, along with everything else on the Horse Brunch menu after 3. The first time I came back, I ordered the No Carb Breakfast, which tasted as good as I remember having it. When I came there for dinner, I had the Pulled Pork Dinner with the Caesar Salad and French Fries from the Embers menu. The Pulled Pork was overwhelming with flavour with how much barbeque sauce they use, and they serve you so much of the pork that I almost could not finish it. The Caesar salad was pretty good, while the fries were as fantastic as I remembered. The interior still has that antiquated interior aesthetic, excluding a lot of its horse pictures and memorabilia. I am glad to see this restaurant is still as great as before, and the change of business hours is very beneficial for everyone. I will make sure to frequent this restaurant more often and everyone else should too.

I'm not sure how anyone could rate this place anything but a 5/5. Everything about it is amazing! The staff are extremely friendly and the food is SO good! We came here for dinner en route from Vancouver to Sasquatch Mountain and it was a perfect pit-stop for food. Between the three of us, we got chicken wings, a beef dip, a burger & onion rings + fries. At first glance the beef dip didn't look top notch, but the flavours were amazing. The meat was so juicy and the bun perfectly complimented it. The onion rings were great too - the onion didn't slide out on the first bite, so you know they were breaded properly. Prices were very reasonable and the decor inside was very fitting for where it was located. I will definitely come back the next time I'm in the area!

Update: September 20/25 Went for the Special—the bacon cheeseburger—so good! And I'm tellin' ya, I almost wanna drink that gravy 😋

July 25, 2025 Yep, dropped in on the right day...two young girls this time (I'm 55 so anybody under 40 is considered young 😄), one of these ladies was the one from before, and oh my goodness!...all round great meal. The bacon cheeseburger was so juicy, fries were perfect and the gravy so thick and flavorful. Lovin' our server too—plus the fact that she remembered us, and what we order and I think I've only seen her twice before.

Update: June 22/25 I guess it depends on what day you come—who's cooking—or maybe I'm just picky lol. The bacon and cheddar cheeseburger deal was still good, just not as good as the last two times I had it. And they 'cheaped out' on the bacon. It's like they split half of piece, couldn't even taste it on the burger. First time was a young woman, no idea who cooked the second time, and today was some dude.

The last two times I swear I had two pieces on the darn thing. I found the gravy just okay this time around, nothing compared to the last two times though—in flavor and thickness. Still a 'bang for your buck' though. ••• I used to come here for breakfast all the time and then new owners took over—that shouldn't have made a difference, but it did, and three strikes you're out—or so I thought.

I used to get breakfast every time I came in but with the ownership change there was also a staff change—runny scrambled eggs, bread wasn't toast and mold in the cheese.

So today when my buddy suggested going there for a burger I was reluctant. My buddy said he buy so...I got the Bacon Cheeseburger deal for $12...it was amazing!—I actually felt the need to thank the cook, so I did! An excellent burger, the fries are the best!...oh, and don't forget to...

Our first time going here, we saw the reviews and it looked like a nice cozy brunch place but our experience was extremely disappointing. It was busy but we got seated quickly and were able to give our drink orders as well. Our server was really nice, gave us good suggestions and we were having a good time. It wasn't until after we had to wait 25 minutes for our food to arrive cold. Our fries were sent back and it wasn't until after I had taken a bite out of my egg and hashbrowns and I had noticed they were cold as well. I didn't wanna cause anymore inconvenience so we just ate what we got. I thought this was the end of it but when we got up to pay the bill and get a takeout container, not even 30 seconds after we stood up, our table was cleared off completely by one of the guys working there. We had an almost full plate of fries, quarter of the cheeseburger, perogies and hashbrowns still left that we wanted to take home but after we saw them get thrown in the trash, we just wanted to leave. The server holding the takeout container in her hand had a look of embarrassment on her face when we told her and she wanted to make up for it which was very kind but we just didn't want to be there anymore.... Looking at their menu initially I was planning on when I was going to come here next but after our experience, we will never be...
