Mission Springs Liquor Store — Restaurant in Mission

Always disappointing. The only times I come here are when I have a gift certificate from the beer store, and every time I am glad that I didnt have to spend my actual money here. Tonight I had a beef dip which was advertised as having "horseradish aioli and carmelized onions" but just tasted like it was slathered with mayo. The amount of fries was dismal. The gravy had a strange test to it. My date ordered the soup of the day "Chorizo and Pepper Chowder" and it tasted so smoky and strange that he didnt finish it and informed the server right away that it wasn't good.

Honestly, I used to really like coming here but the menu has gone downhill, all the good items that used to make the springs special are gone. The Foccacia Clubhouse was amazing, as well as the Roasted Goat pizza, both which are gone. The mac and cheese and baked lasagna from years ago were also really good but now they only have a weekly pasta special. They also discontinued a lot of their good beer last year which has let a lot of people down. Bring back the Bombshell Blonde!

All this on top of the fact that I know the owner doesnt treat his staff very well really makes me think I dont want to give my business to the Mission Springs any more.

I will say that our server was very pleasant and genuinely seemed to care when she found out we werent happy...

I had called Mission Springs about a reservation for a party of 31 about a month and a half before the date. For a birthday party. I was promised the patio and explained that I would call back about a week or two before to give a more definitive number of guests. When I did this I was told that they could not give us the patio for it was given to a party of 60. She told me that they would fit us in somewhere and she would call me back later. I never heard from her again. So I found another place for our event. Which by the way did a good job accommodating us on such short notice, even recreating a menu for us. Then on the day of the event someone from Mission Springs calls us to ask if we are coming to which I explained the situation and this person said she would have the Manager call me. And again no call. Very poorly organized with poor leadership and very disappointing customer service. I had events here before but no more. This place does not care if it loses...

I was at mission springs Sunday for a work event, and usually I love the springs group and was really looking forward to a pizza. Tonight the first pizza came out and there was a bug crawling on the plate it comes on. No problem it happens, but before I could even pick up a piece I saw 3 more crawling on it, so we sent it back and asked for a new one. We had already been at the restaurant for 2 hours when we finally got the replacement which had to be just packed to go because it took so long, and when I picked up a slice every single topping fell off of it. I ended up leaving the replacement at the springs because it was so bad. I’ve also tried to contact the springs to deal with this and I’ve gotten no reply. I’m almost positive it was a young cockroach on the pizza board. Pretty grossed out from both the bugs as well as service from this experience. The owner needs to make more visits to this location because this is one of the worst restaurant experiences...
