The Wee Chippie Fish & Chips — Restaurant in Mission

We were passing through Mission on our way back from the interior and everyone was craving a bit of comfort food after the long drive. The restaurant was empty when we got there, we were told to sit anywhere we wanted and were served promptly by the lovely lady working there.

I had cod and it tasted very fresh and was perfectly cooked. There was a good fish-batter ratio, and it was not greasy at all. The chips were thick cut in authentic British style. They gave us huge portions of chips and the fish was also a very good portion. We didn't even come close to finishing all our food. I thought the pricing was extremely fair considering how much food we received. My husband and I shared the two piece cod and still didn't finish it.

I used the washroom while here and it was very clean, as was the rest of the restaurant. While we were there lots of people came and went, picking up takeout orders, but there was only one other dine in table. This makes it a good location if you're looking for a very quiet...

I've ordered from here often and I would never go elsewhere. Even If I had to order from out of town! No joke! Class act! You're guaranteed " the best meal "!!! Bar none! If you're from out of town than you need to check this place, the candy shop on first Ave and Mac's on 7th the latter for obvious reasons and the store became they have " the best " flavored I've cream! (Multiple flavors) n they allow you to pick the largest sluroee cup for the modest price n what they should highly consider bringing back the three or four choices of sprinkles, smarties, caramels or m&m's they use to let you pour on to your hearts content for 40 some odd cents more. Seriously It was this store that n the ice cream that made up my mind on moving here to start over! Wisest! Craziest! Choice of my life. Lovely fish and chips shop with reasonably priced dishes. We ordered the seafood combo with cod as well as the clam chowder bowl. Since they ran out of oysters for the seafood combo, we received a shrimp and a scallop instead. Chips were the fat kind that was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The coating for the fish was light and you can really taste the sweetness of the fish inside. The chowder bowl was a bit thin and would’ve enjoyed it more if there were more seafood inside, but it did come with a roll and two butter. At the end, eating this felt like it was too oily and I can really taste the oil flavour, but overall, it was good and worth a visit if you’re looking for English style fish and chips. Their takeout specials are very reasonably priced. I don’t think the eight pieces scallop and chips would be enough to fill up a person because the scallops were the size of a quarter and you’d be eating...
