A&W Canada — Restaurant in Mississauga

Horrible horrible a&w location. My dad asked them if they had any gluten free options because of a gluten allergy...and the girl was so confused and asked him what gluten was. . The staff here barely speak english, they all speak in their language to eachother which is rude. I love a&w and have been to many locations but this one is the only one in the area. I order for my myself and for my mom who can't eat bread because of a gluten allergy so i always omit the mustard and ask for the burger to be in a box with no bread. On many occasions they have fulfilled my request but its a hassle because they seem to be so confused when i ask them to and i have been told they dont do that there when they clearly have before. I don't even bother with the lettuce wraps anymore because they add 20 pounds of it to the burger making it messy. They always ask for my name for the order so they pretty much know me by now. However I came here on January 19th 2019 and after taking my order down the 3 cashiers all started talking in their language and they said something with my name in it and then one of the cashiers looked at me and they all started laughing. It was so obvious they were talking about me, and im not sure why they would be so rude im always very nice and respectful. I was so angry but didnt say anything. And at the end they ended up getting my order wrong and had to wait extra for them to make it again. I have had the worst experience at A&W Erin Mills Town centre location in mississauga. Address is 4537- Erin Mills TC. 5100 Erin mills parkway mississauga On L5M 2Z5, I ordered two chubby chicken sandwiches and i requested one to be with NO MAYO ( BECAUSE OF A MEDICAL CONDITION) and the second one which i got for my friend with light mayo. I was Served by the employee (MANJINDER) i repeated to her my request a few times no mayo please make sure on one of them and she said ok. When my order was ready for pickup i asked MANJINDER which one of them has no mayo please? She responded with a loud and very aggressive tone YOU DID NOT MENTION NO MAYO MAAM, so i said please i requested a few times she kept arguing with me that i never said no mayo and i was lying and i was wrong i told her that i was not a liar and did not lie to her and i originally requested no mayo but she kept yelling that it was my mistake and she could not do anything about it. I nicely requested to get another sandwich and change it because it was not my fault but her tone of voice kept getting louder and more agressive. I am not sure why i had to deal with that i simply just wanted my correct order. I did not want to be humiliated in front of the whole food court and she embarassed me so much. I will never go back to this location again very bad experience and traumatizing. My order was at 5:51 pm Friday january 24, 2025.

I then requested a refund because she refused to make me new sandwich and kept insisting it was my wrong. I am literally shocked at her behaviour. Very bad and rude customer service.

Lady at front counter was telling every customer "were closing soon so please hurry up" as a greeting (35min before closing)

Update, 20min till close she told another customer they are closed, when the lady asked why they are saying theyre closed when they closed at 6 and its 5:40 the employee said she can do it if its a small order, if its big they cant.

Also, wheres my sauce?

Update #2 Got in touch with A&W and they've addressed the issue, i am satisfied in their approach and manner of how they handled the situation (at least in email, havent been there yet)

Update #3 Went there again one month later. Way better visit! Staff is working much better and also have a much better attitude, they also seem normal compared to previously where they were miserable. I do believe that management at this A&W handled the situation well and also coached the staff well.

Raised from 1 to 4 stars next visit will determine...
