I suspect that they do not understand what Vegan is. On every occasion I have to specify that they do not use eggs or fish sauce to prepare the meal. My last visit on Thursday confirmed my suspicion. I ordered a Vegan Pad Thai and clearly specified that I do not want any eggs and fish sauce, which I thought would be obvious. The cashier's reaction made me feel somewhat unsure if he and the cook fully understood my request. I watched as he wrote down no eggs and vegetable sauce on my order. And motioned to the cook to prepare the food.

My fellow Vegans: if you get food in one of those take out containers, always examine the food carefully. I did and I found big chunks of eggs

Needless to say I was not happy as I made my way back to the counter and expressed my concern to group on the other side. I ended up getting my money back on this occasion. I will not purchase anything at this location again.

With so few options in EMTC food court, this is one of the favourites when we are here. The cashier changes now and then, but the "chef" is almost a constant at this location.

One can now order to vegan a meal. Earlier, all you had to do was tell them to use a veggie sauce and not to add eggs. Glad Thai Express is acknowledging vegans.

Ordered a Tofu Pad Thai with vegan options and with no or little oil. This no oil option cuts the fat content of your choice significantly and I believe does not compromise on the taste as much.

The noodles cooked perfectly and the sauce plenty. The Tofu pieces are not consistent as with other locations, some offer pan fried, this location gives deep fried which I don't prefer, but it's OK. The taste was amazing, although I would prefer to be a bit less sweet and perhaps a little sodium in it. The noodles came piping hot which is...

I used to be regular to a Thai place express in downtown Toronto back in the days pre-covid. I used to love food there and also the good service i had in that place. I went today to this location and what a disappointment. They can remove something from your dish say tofu but they don’t replace it for anything else. If you want say a piece of ginger or mushrooms instead they charge you extra but don’t subtract anything for the tofu. The flavor is not good. Mine was actually bad if you compare with other Thai express stores The customer service is not a thing here.

I don’t recommend the place. There are other good places here like Freshii, A&W, Jimmy the greek, Teriyaki to name some that I can recommend.

I almost forgot to say, I ordered no spicy and guess what, it was sooo hot that i had to “clean it” at home. I guess they forgot and i did not realized...
