I am a regular customer of this restaurant, both in the old and new branches. I have a message for the owner, and I hope you take it seriously. I came on Saturday and bought a takeaway dinner. There was a large crowd, and the staff were quick and knowledgeable.
I returned again on Sunday and invited my friend to Dinning In for dinner. I placed our orders and we sat down. The restaurant wasn't crowded, but we waited for about half an hour or three-quarters of an hour. We saw all the staff moving very slowly, as if they hadn't slept in four days. Most of the customers complained about the poor service. When we asked for our order, it was ready in a flash, but unfortunately, they gave us the wrong order, different from what we had requested.
What I saw and experienced, based on my extensive experience in project management, specifically in catering and hotels, was the absence of the manager. The staff took advantage of this situation to demonstrate apathy. When one of the employees left the internal kitchen, the entire staff began working quickly and with understanding, and we felt as if he or she was the manager in charge.
But what made me even more certain that your staff were dissatisfied with what they were doing or didn't understand their role was when one of the employees approached our table to pick up some papers and plastic spoons that had fallen on the floor. She made a forced expression on her face, or looked disgruntled.
I know that your restaurant lacks full service, but also that your staff should be trained to be professional in food service, as well as to respond politely.
Important point: If there are delays in payroll or if staffing is limited during the weekends, requiring your staff to work longer hours, this will negatively impact the quality of everything you serve.
Further summary: It is important for employees to assume responsibility for managing situations rationally and tactfully, even in the absence of management.
I can assure you that your food is delicious and clean, so please reconsider the way you manage your restaurants.
I always recommend you, but this time I will only recommend you for to-go orders, with several notes I would like your staff to pay attention to when...
Read moreMy recent visit to Alzaeem Kebob & Broasted Chicken in Mississauga left me with mixed feelings. While the restaurant had its merits, there were several aspects that fell short of my expectations.
One of the major drawbacks was the wait time. Despite arriving during what seemed to be a relatively quiet period, I had to endure an extended wait of approximately half an hour before my order was ready. This was quite frustrating, especially considering the modest size of the establishment.
Attention to detail was another area of concern. Despite specifically requesting no wings in my 12-piece bucket, I was disappointed to find that my order included four wings. This oversight indicated a lack of carefulness in fulfilling customer requests.
On the positive side, I must commend Alzaeem Kebob & Broasted Chicken for their crispy chicken. The outer coating had a satisfying crunch, and the meat inside was tender and flavorful. The chicken itself was one of the redeeming qualities of my dining experience.
However, the service left much to be desired. The staff seemed overwhelmed and disorganized, which likely contributed to the extended wait times and the inaccuracies in my order. There was a lack of attentiveness and attention to detail throughout my visit, which detracted from the overall dining experience.
Another aspect worth mentioning is the pricing. I found that the prices at Alzaeem Kebob & Broasted Chicken were somewhat higher than what I would expect for the quality and portion sizes offered. Given the overall experience, the value for money felt lacking.
In conclusion, my visit to Alzaeem Kebob & Broasted Chicken was a mixed bag. While the crispy chicken was a highlight, the extended wait times, lack of attention to detail, and underwhelming service detracted from the overall experience. I hope that the restaurant takes these points into consideration and works towards improving their service, consistency, and...
Read moreI recently visited Al Zaeem for a pickup after a strong recommendation from a friend who mentioned it reminded him of McCoy's back in Riyadh, KSA. Naturally, my expectations were high — and I’m happy to say it was a very pleasant experience overall!
We ordered the Broasted Fried Chicken and the Chicken Shawarma. The broasted chicken was truly unique — crispy, juicy, and packed with a distinct flavor that sets it apart from the typical fried chicken you might find elsewhere. While it wasn't exactly the same as McCoy’s (for those familiar with that specific taste), it had its own charm and taste profile that was absolutely delicious and satisfying.
As for the shawarma, there was a small mix-up with the toppings. However, the staff handled it very professionally and kindly — they immediately offered a replacement without any fuss, which speaks volumes about their commitment to customer service. Once corrected, the shawarma was absolutely wonderful — fresh, flavorful, and true to the authentic Middle Eastern style.
The overall vibe of the place gave off strong Middle Eastern energy, making the experience even more authentic and enjoyable. I truly hope they consider opening a location in Durham soon — it would be a fantastic addition to the area!
Highly recommend Al Zaeem for anyone looking to enjoy a different take on broasted chicken and...
