Shocking Lack of Professionalism – Horrible Experience at a Child’s Birthday Party

I attended a birthday party at Amazing Fun Park for my friend Haya’s son, and what was supposed to be a happy and memorable event turned into a stressful and upsetting experience because of how the owner, Karen, treated her.

From the moment Haya arrived, Karen confronted her over a simple tray of vegetables, cheese, and fruit, claiming it wasn’t allowed—even though Haya had been told she could bring snacks, cake, and desserts. Instead of handling the situation professionally, Karen argued with her for over 10 minutes in an unnecessarily harsh and aggressive manner, creating an extremely uncomfortable atmosphere for everyone at the party.

The tension was so bad that many guests, including myself, barely ate because the entire interaction left us feeling uneasy. This should have been a time for celebration, but instead, it felt like we were all walking on eggshells due to the owner’s attitude.

What shocked me the most was that, after the initial scene in front of everyone, Karen later pulled Haya aside privately just to call her a rude person to her face. The fact that she waited until no one else could hear made it even more unprofessional and mean-spirited. No customer—especially a mother celebrating her child’s birthday—should be treated this way.

On top of that, due to all the delays and stress caused by Karen’s actions, the photographer Haya hired had to stay longer, which resulted in extra costs for her. To add insult to injury, Karen then demanded an additional $200 for going just 20 minutes over the booking time, despite the fact that it was her own behavior that caused delays in the first place.

I cannot believe how unwelcoming and hostile the staff was, especially the owner. This was supposed to be a child’s birthday party—a fun, joyous occasion—but instead, it was tainted by rudeness, unnecessary conflict, and a complete lack of professionalism.

If you're considering booking this place for a special event, please think twice. No family should have to go through what Haya did on such an...

Large spacious play gym with lots to do for kids ages 2-10! I took my kids ages 7&9 to Amazing Fun Park on a Saturday and was pleasantly surprise that the place was even more Amazing in person (compared to their photos). The forest-like entry leading to the check in desk was super cute, check in process was quick (you’ll need to sign a waiver for the kids) and after a wristband (to see which patrons’ 2-hour play was up), you can remove your shoes, put them in the cubby hole and hang up your jackets (this was a plus since everyone has a bulky jacket during the winter months).

There is a stage for kids to sing karaoke and record 360-degree dance videos. You can also check their schedules online as there are bands, princesses, face painting, magic show and the like. There are lots of picnic tables for parents to sit and for birthday parties. There are cute trees and 3D art scattered throughout so it feels like you’re in a magical forest.

My kids gravitated to the rides - you can ride a dinosaur or drive a 2-person LED-lit car. The vehicles move super slow so even toddlers. An manage them. You basically drive in a circle around this lit up floral/grass area. Right outside this space was the VR experience. Not only do you put on the VR glasses, but the entire ā€˜car’ moves (very gently). The first game I played was to shoot the red bugs - you look at the bug, then press the button on your seat to shoot them. I did ask if the VR experience can be ramped up if there are no kids aboard - and they do! We did a walk through of a creepy psychiatric hospital.

There is also a huge ball pit area. There was a jungle gym within the ball pit and all along the walls were interactive play tubes. My kids also like the tabletop games, it’s a huge touch screen running Android apps. There was also an interactive glowing tile floor. This was difficult to play cuz everyone was running in it at the same time and not really following the rules.

Overall, my family had an amazing time. It would be nice if the interactive vehicles went a bit faster and maybe have a cafe of some sort...

From the moment I entered, and was checking rhe set up. I met by karen with unnecessary stress and pressure — not to mention constant disruption. You repeatedly interrupted the time I was trying to enjoy with my son & guest on a day that I paid for. It’s clear that you have had a personal issue with me and my son since day one, yet I still chose to support your new business and remained patient despite how I was treated.

This is not the first time this has happened — it’s the 3rd incident now. After this experience, I no longer feel safe bringing my child to your establishment. A place designed for children and families should feel welcoming and secure, not stressful , targeted and uncomfortable.

What’s even more concerning is how unprofessional it was for you to confront me in front of my guests and tell me to my face that I was rude — when in reality, you were the one being rude from the beginning and I let you be. Despite your behavior, I remained patient and still chose to return to Amazing Fun Park, hoping for a better experience.

I genuinely hope you take this feedback to heart and learn to treat future guests with more respect & professionalism Knowing when and how to address a guest is crucial in creating a positive and welcoming environment because if i let you be, trust me other people will not allow it.

Frankly, I don’t have the time or interest to explain the full story in details— because I don’t want to damage your business’s reputation. You know exactly what you did and how you handled the situation, and I hope you reflect on it...

I've been to my fair share of indoor playgrounds this summer, and let's just say, most of them feel like a sad ball pit and a few plastic crawl tubes got together and had a beige-coloured baby. But AFP Playground is a whole different beast—it's a futuristic fun-topia ready to take your toddler on a wild ride, and you'll be happy to tag along. From the moment we walked in, my niece’s eyes lit up. The place is enormous, but what really sets it apart is the variety. You've got Chi the mascot (who looks like a whimsical alien), a ball pit with several vacuum tubes (a genius mix of chaos and organization), a VR 4D ride that even I wanted to try, and interactive floor tiles that kept the little ones mesmerized. My niece had an absolute blast with the illuminated electric cars—it was like watching a tiny, slow race track, but with more giggles. The whole place has a vibe that reminds me of some of the incredible play parks I've seen in Southeast Asia—super clean, well-thought-out, and packed with unique features. The staff are friendly and genuinely helpful, and the bathrooms are sparkling, which, as any parent knows, is a monumental victory. While the food is decent, the real star here is the sheer amount of fun packed into one space. AFP Playground isn't just a place to burn off energy; it's a place where kids can truly play and explore in a safe, dynamic environment. The space is huge and has plenty of potential for more features. The only downside? The mascot's theme music. It definitely gets on your nerves after a while. AFPšŸŽ¶ AFPšŸŽ¶ AFPšŸŽ¶
