As I enjoyed a delicious feast of chicken biryani and buttered chicken with naan, memories of my food adventures in Dubai flooded back. Having moved to Canada a year ago, this meal reminded me of the flavors I once loved, although the price difference was striking. The chicken biryani, aromatic with spices and filled with tender chicken, transported me back to Dubai's lively streets, where flavorful dishes were abundant. Each bite brought back memories of sharing meals with loved ones and colleagues. Accompanying the biryani was the buttered chicken, a creamy dish that delighted my taste buds with its smooth texture and rich flavor. Served with warm naan bread, every mouthful was a blend of flavors, reminiscent of the vibrant food culture I experienced in Dubai. But amidst the enjoyment, I couldn't ignore the significant increase in price compared to Dubai. Dining out in Canada now costs nearly three times as much, highlighting the economic differences between countries. Nevertheless, the quality and authenticity of the food remained unmatched, offering a taste of home in a new setting. Overall, my dining experience was a reminder of the unifying power of food, connecting cultures and memories across borders. Despite the higher cost, the joy and nostalgia evoked by each bite were invaluable, reminding me of the cherished moments I carry from Dubai to Canada.

I visited this restaurant with my friend today and felt disappointed with the food. This is our second time and the last time we visited was almost 1.5 years back. We came here based on a good experience we had last time. Today we ordered Panneer 555 , chicken Manchurian in starters and Panneer Veg Dum Biryani. Firstly, the Panneer 555 was too spicy than expected. The spice or chilli paste was too overpowering and we could feel the raw taste of heat as if panneer was sauteed in uncooked chilli paste with little to no salt. It was just uncomfortably spicy. Despite it being remade and served with shredded cabbage, we still couldn't eat it. Honestly, it could have been little manageable if it had been served with onion, lemon and coriander garnish. In most Indian restaurants, starters are served with some fresh salad and lemon to make it look more appealing. The chicken starter wasn't great either, just chicken tossed in readymade sauces and chilli paste. Secondly, the Panneer Veg Dum Biryani was like a Veg Dum Biryani with a Panneer gravy and it's pieces layered in between to make it look like Panneer Dum Biryani. It was very clear that Panneer was separately cooked and inserted in veg Biryani before serving. It was edible and no major complaints on how it tasted. But why fool the customer this way? On the whole, the experience was certainly bad and the restaurant must really work on how they prepare and serve. We didn't want to create a scene and hence decided to leave a feedback for the restaurant here. There are restaurants that really serve tasty Indian delicacies out in GTA and nobody would prefer to waste money for such a poor experience. The restaurant was not very busy to put the blame on the number of orders they had to serve. I truly hope you guys work on this feedback and ensure to do a taste check before serving.

I visited this place on one of my friend suggestions as he said their biryani is really good. I placed an order of their special Veg Dum Biryani call and took about 15 minutes to prepare the food which was amazing. The cost was 16$ The ambiance is nice as per the picture I posted, I opted for take out. As soon as I had my first spoon of biryani the spices felt really good but unfortunately thats the only good thing about it. There were only rice with good seasoned spices and thats it. There were no vegetables in the biryani which was completely disappointing and I only found few pieces of potato and one tiny piece of carrot in it. There was just few slices of raw onion as you can see in the picture. As per my expectations there should be few vegetables like cauliflower, carrots, beans, fried onions, green peppers but in this biryani there was nothing. I would say it felt more like seasoned rice with pickle than biryani. Which is not worth 16$. I hardly put any low rating for a restaurant but this one felt like it is not worth a try specially when their main attraction is biryani. Not sure about any other dish but would avoid this place in future. Cheers 🥂 Update 1 : Got a call from owner of the restaurant. Genuinely heard my opinion and discussed how the dish is actually made and what could have went wrong. Told me to try Paneer Dum Biryani which is great. Would try that someday and will update the reviews again. Felt really great that the owner cared about their customers.

We went on Friday night for dinner. To begin with, the atmosphere of the restaurant was not that clean especially the floors. The service was fast. However, the food was a real disappointment we ordered hot n sour soup, Apollo fish and chicken dum biryani. The soup was more like tomato soup with too much pepper. The Apollo fish was super oily the same with biryani the rice was oily and the chicken was not that fresh. When we brought this to the notice of the chef he just said that’s how it is made and supposed to be. We informed that it was not edible due to fish sucking too much oil and hot n sour soup is tomato tangy he mentioned saying the fish is deep fried and it will have oil for sure. I understand that deep fried items have oil and I have had Apollo fish lot of times before but never had this oily before. At the end we didn’t not satisfactorily left the restaurant especially my kid he didn’t any of the item and left the restaurant.

I have ordered Bawarchi spl chicken dum biryani….Worst ever biryani I had ever eaten in my life I can say I am a Hyderabadi and I know how biryani tastes and not only that I previously use to order from bawarchi and it is usually good but this time it looked like some one from the kitchen wantedly wanted to lower the reputation of the restaurant as the biryani was not dum at all like the chicken pieces were not at all cooked and the rice smelled like it was fried on a pan which had bad ghee and the pudina looked like it was fried on pan no real touch of a dum biryani at all I have all the photos as proof. Honestly bawarchi has lowered badly like very badly worst I would say, I hope they get hold of the guy in the kitchen who made this and fire him immediately as this kind of service will not be appreciated by any customer if there was no biryani left for the day they could have refused the order instead keeping their reputation at stake.

Extremely disappointed with this location. Here are the reasons: 1. Still using QR codes and you have to go the reception/bar area to place the order. 2. No waiters/servers at this place but someone will bring the food out 3. On the table there was a tap filled water bottle plastic cups and plastic plates with cutlery (some one is streamlining customer service) -cups smelled so bad coz they were upside down after washing and disgusting 4. Ordered samosas that were frozen on the inside 5. Biriyanis we’re good not great and for this price there are plenty of options in Mississauga Definitely I would drive 30km to the location in Scarborough their food is fantastic! Service is excellent as well and doesn’t look dark and gloomy like this place. Staff didn’t charge me for the samosas since I sent them back and I feel bad for them coz the franchise owner must be trying to cut cost ! Would never never go again
