Bobby's Hideaway — Restaurant in Mississauga

Usually we have enjoyed coming to this restaurant. However, after today I would highly discourage anyone to dine here. Carla, the manager, was our primary server. She has always been pleasant but today was quite different . We specifically asked for milk for our beverages and were given only three milkettes (for two people). When we asked for more (once we asked Carla, and the second time another server), it was not brought to us. My husband asked for water but she neglected to bring it. These things might seem trivial but…. We were tucked away in a small table for two in a corner against a wall. That was okay until an obnoxious young couple came and sat beside us at a small table for two. They got up repeatedly and rearranged themselves so that they were sitting side by side on the bench at their tiny table. The man was sitting on the bench literally six inches from my husband. This couple had their hands all over each other and were acting in a rather inappropriate way. The woman also reeked of perfume which I was afraid would set off my husband’s allergies. I knew we couldn’t stay with the ‘ show’ going on next to us and the infringement on our personal space. We waited for Carla to come back. She looked at the couple and, instead of pushing their table together with the empty one beside them, she rotated their tiny table to make a bigger space for them but no more space for us. I asked for a take out container and plastic cutlery and told her that we had to immediately leave. She took her sweet time and didn’t bring the cutlery after I asked again. She still didn’t bring it so we went towards the front of the restaurant so I could ask again. I then asked to speak to the manager…. Guess what??!! Carla is the manager. When I voiced my concerns, she did not apologize…. In fact she got really angry and said that that inappropriate couple had the right to sit side by side. She said that I could have said something… I did indicate that we had to leave and why while we were still seated. I also pointed out that she was the one who turned the table which made it much easier for obnoxious couple to keep up with their show!!!! Carla should not be a manager when she treats regular customers like this. AVOID...

Came for the breakfast menu and high reviews.

Food - 4/5 Nothing special that you can't get at any other breakfast restaurant. Wasn't bad, just wast anything out of the ordinary. Pricy compared to you your pur and simple and sunset grills of the world.

Service - 1/5 My wife and I walked in and stood at the lobby for almost 10 minutes. The resteraunt wasn't busy and servers would just walk by. Eventually a disgruntled server brings us in and sits us at the table. We order our food, and receive it shortly after. We probably sat to eat for a total of 45mins and not once did our server come to us to ask us if we needed anything. She forgot our tea bags and condiments and we had to interrupt her mid way as she was seeing other tables. Not one coffee refill or care the entire meal. Now I'm not asking for special care but if your dining in and you need specific things like a refill on a coffee or missing items you would like if your server checked in. We just immediately felt u wanted as soon as we arrived. I also am the last to accuse a business of racial prejudice as I feel like in 2023 times have changed...but man did I feel it in there.

Atmosphere 1/5 We were the darkest colored skin tone customers in the resteraunt and the entire time I would glance and find older white customers staring. The servers would hang by their tables and chat, but with us it was like "are you don't yet ?".

All in all, wouldn't come close to this place again. Food is EXTREMELY average and you feel unwanted if your a dark skin tone.

It's a very pretty place. I like the environment and the settings. But I got disappointed with the food I got today. When I came, it was only 5 or 6 tables of people. Mostly are elders. The pictures others posted on google looks pretty tasty. I ordered 2 eggs combo with homemade fries, bacon and brown bread. The fried was very hard to chew. I felt like it pre fried and quickly heated up with oven before serving. There was no oil on it and it was not even hot. Bacon, too. It was very hard, but not crispy. Scramble eggs were very raw. The middle of the egg white was not formed. It tasted like raw egg white. The bread was not warm enough. It was colder than my body temperature. Not taste good. My order came out really quick, I would say 5-10 minutes. I just looked around and even before taking out my phone. I observed other three tables around me. Two of them did it finish their meals and one finished before I walked in. They did not clean the table with soap and water or sanitizer. Just wipe it out with a white towel. Coffee came up the first when I was reading the menu. That’s very nice to have a coffee and waiting. They barely came to ask what do I need. But I saw them serving the elders with very humble manner and caring. Some of other costumers seems good chewing the food. I guess they made food differently for elders.
