We have our “go to” Indian Restaurant but a friend recommended this place and we were near by so we thought we’d try it out. It’s take out only which is perfect.

We ordered a fairly large order and our food was ready pretty quick, in about 20 minutes.

PORTIONS: I was pretty disappointed to open up the container of butter chicken and find less than a chicken breast in it chopped up. Lots of sauce, but very light on the meat content which was disappointing for a price of 15.99. The Chicken Vindaloo was the same. Again, disappointing.

FLAVOUR: The butter chicken was decent, the chicken vindaloo also, but not great. The Biryani rice was also decent, but nothing special. The food was good, but definitely had a fast food version taste versus what we are used to at other Indian restaurants we go to. The veggie pakora was very good.

PRICE: Price was average with other competitive restaurants. The dishes don’t have much meat in them, in relation to the price so that part is disappointing.

CHICKEN TIKKA: 4 cubed pieces of chicken breast, so was very small portion and basically flavourless. Definitely not marinated enough. Unfortunately, the meat was undercooked and raw in the middle and I had to put it in the air fryer to finish cooking it.

CONCLUSION:

This is an “average” takeout restaurant and I wouldn’t recommend it if you’re looking for authentic Indian Food. The naan were good, but everything else tasted like fast food Indian food, and flavourless, other than a bit of heat. Very bland. I would compare it to the McDonald’s of...

Great Food and Amazing Service!

If you’re looking for a place that does it right, you’re looking for Bombay To Go! This is not just an ordinary Indian restaurant…it has more than just great tasty Indian food, but it comes with fabulous customer service from its owner Maneesh. We ordered butter chicken, nan, chicken biryani and some other items from Bombay To Go to serve a whole dinner party. We live about 45 minutes away in Ancaster and thought that the best and only option would be to travel to Mississauga and buy the food the night before so we were there for the guests for lunch. When I placed the order and told Maneesh the plan, he immediately suggested that he we leave the fuss to him and he would ensure that the food would reach us fresh and in time for the party, we just had to pay the gas for the driver. My whole stress and worrying about the food melted away as Maneesh said “Let me take care of it. You just relax and I will have good fresh food for you in time for the lunch’ and bhoy did he deliver. The food came piping hot and our guests could not stop raving about the food.

I actually called Maneesh later to thank him and found out that he had even come in earlier than usual to cook the food himself and ensure everything went smooth. Talk about amazing customer service! Bombay To Go is our go to place! Their butter chicken is truly amazing…my kids just love it and they’re usually the pickiest and most vocal when it comes to food!

5 star rating for a 5 star experience....

Surprisingly, this place has a high rating but I still don't know. All fake reviews do the job here. The food was TERRIBLE! We ordered the following items: •Chicken Tikka •Jumbo meal (which was supposed to have Naan, one chicken dish, rice and samosa)

The chicken bhuna looked like it was just boiled with no spices, and the gravy was uncooked and it tasted awful. The chicken tikka ($13) had 6 mini pcs of chicken which was tasteless, chicken was hard, didn’t even have salt forget about spices. Naan felt like we were chewing elastic.

To serve food they give you paper plates which cannot even hold a gravy dish.

Normally, I don't write reviews but this was worth it so it can save someone else from going to Bombay to Go.

This was the worst food we have ever had!!!!!

WORST PLACE EVER! WILL NEVER GO BACK! For the first time we felt like we wasted our money and time. Disgrace to Indian food. Pathetic!!!

This restaurant does not even deserve half a star rating but had to give one star because it won’t let me submit the review!

As someone who is not indian maybe I don't have as much expertise in quality and taste for indian food, but ive always enjoyed the butter chicken. we order the canadian style as we dont like it too spicy. One complaint is that the amount of chicken you get compared to the amount of sauce is kind of measly. Theres maybe like one chicken small breast of chicken cubed in the whole container, and its loaded with sauce. I would say it is probably one of the more affordable options in the area for indian food, and while i havent tried any of the other menu items besides the butter chicken, if you want to spend a little less for indian food then it is a decent budget friendly restaurant. ive never had complaints about the service or time to prepare the food. I was told the order would be ready in 15 minutes and i got there in 10 minutes and the food was just finished being packed up. It appears to me that this place is more of a fast food type indian restaurant, where you can expect to get decent tasting food for cheap, if that is what you are looking for!
