For starters, we have ordered from this restaurant for over a year plus. We have also eaten in at the restaurant. When any of our friends ask us for a recommendation, we have always highlighted them as authentic with great food. Tonight, I take back everything I have ever said in the past. We ordered thru Skip and the food arrived hot and the order was complete. To call it “authentic Indian” would be false. The Naan was dry, lacked butter and was so stale it was probably last served to a prisoner. The butter chicken had chicken (yay) was in a sauce that looked like yellow puke (boo). The Onion Bhaji had so much flour on it and was uncooked at best/raw at worst. The Hariyali chicken was good but bland. The vindaloo had an oil spill like the Exxon Valdez and clearly the chicken was cooked (maybe boiled) separately and then dumped in the sauce. The Bhindi was over cooked, charred almost. A little bit shocked and surprised, I checked to see if it was indeed the same place we always order from - yes it was. Then I called them and politely asked had their cook/chef left/been taken prisoner ? After being told the manger was not there (Wrong - I heard the dialogue behind the phone in Punjabi) - which I speak/understand. Got him on the phone. I asked him what was new ? To which the answer was - nothing and click. Great customer service. I know what’s different - you...
Read moreI heard that the food here was good and wanted to try them out so I ordered the Mix Grill and Chicken Platter so I could try out a few of their menu items. I was unpleasantly surprised to find that BOTH of my orders where poorly packaged with items falling out of the container (container was compromised due to steam/moisture) into the plastic bag (could have been roughly handled by Uber Eats), but more concerning was my Platter of items looked like it had been tossed in a mixing bowl prior to being put into the takeout container, like some kind of weird Indian Meat Greek Salad. I dont like Fish and my wife doesnt like lamb and now everything was mixed together. Now I understand that its unreasonable to ask for every single item to be individually packaged, and that's not what I am getting at here, but when I am paying $37 for a Mixed Grill and $25 for a Chicken Platter would appreciate if it the person packing my food showed a little respect and care for what is being served to customers paying with their hard earned money.
I asked for the food to be spicy, and it was. Taste was great as well and I enjoyed the Chutney. Would have been nice to have come with Rice or Naan, but there is the option to add it to you order if needed. Food was 4/5 but leaving a 1/5 review because I dont like being served a bunch of food that looks like it was thrown in a box going...
Read moreExtremely unethical and ill mannered behavior. They dont welcome dining for appetizers or small dishes. You have to order over a specific amount for dining in. They straight away deny you on your face.
If You are a well known well run Restaurant. Thats not the way to behave with the guests.
Your reason is understandable at peak hours/ rush times when theres a queue for people waiting for lunch / dinner ( "Bigger orders" in your words) . But at that time in the afternoon around 2:30 pm 90% of your inner tables were vacant and neither was there any waiting.
So its your responsibility and duty that your guests do not leave the place hungry.
You have named your restaurant as "Indian" I would like remind you that Indian culture teaches to treat Guest's as God and give them the utmost care and hospitality irrespective of any discrimination.
We 4 guests ordered 3/4 appetizer dishes which would have been equivalent to a small lunch dish ( If u still insist to equate in terms of order quantity/ price).
I personally would not recommend this restaurant until the management amends these inappropriate rules. I also do know a lot of people will agree with this.
The guests with me that day were all from different places in US, Canada. So you just lowered your standards in front of them and harmed your business with potential clients and...
