Consistently outstanding for this long-time customer. When I like a place, I feel it's my duty to share my opinion. After at least 50 visits to Breakfast ING since it opened, I can tell you that it's a sure bet for a superior breakfast experience with Taiwanese and Malaysian food.
But what do I know about Asian food? I've never travelled to Malaysia, but I've travelled to Taiwan several times. My spouse is Taiwanese, and when we go back, we hit all the "classic" Taiwanese places with family and friends to eat what tourists know nothing about. Both she and I agree without a doubt: Breakfast ING has risen to the standard of home. We've never had a bad meal here, and always sighed with relief to find a very genuine piece of Taiwan here in Mississauga. So I'm writing here as a person who both knows and loves the Taiwanese way of cooking, not the "Canadian" way.
Breakfast ING specializes in Asian-style breakfast sandwiches that simply are on a different planet from the North-American "breakfast sandwiches" and so-called wraps. My favourite is the House Special: a triple-decker with lightly toasted whole-wheat bread, a sumptuous pork fillet without an ounce of fat or bone, perfectly scrambled egg evenly laid through the sandwich, fresh tomato, and cabbage with a little dressing. When it's done, there's not a drop of grease in the basket or on the serving paper. The egg wraps are now completely consistently up to the Taiwanese standard, and I've eaten egg wraps in hole-in-the-wall Taiwanese breakfast shops, and at the famous street vendors in Taipei and Taichung, so I think I know. There are also breakfast stews filled with a balance of vegetables, tofu, and the various items they put in. If you like this kind of food, you'll enjoy this. If you don't know, trust me: get the house special sandwich, and you'll never eat a breakfast sandwich or wrap at any fast-food chain again.
The owners are not new to the restaurant business, so you can take comfort in knowing that their other ventures have been successful and always clean for years. It's a small shop, so you'll find late-brunchtime and lunchtime might leave you waiting, but if the line-up isn't too long, it's worth it. Yeah--I write long reviews when I like a place, and no, I get no reward for doing so, except I like to see the good places stay in business, because this is one Canadian who can't go back to a Mississauga without...

The Malaysian laksa is inexpensive and very tasty. If you like curry, the Malaysian curry is also another good one to try. There’s also the charcoal Grilled sandwiches where it’s not the typical sandwiches. They have meat floss, Taiwanese sausages or ground beef with Malaysian spice in their sandwiches. All the breakfast and lunch items are very inexpensive.
The place is small so be prepared to wait a bit for a table. It’s always busy here. Best bet is to come really early or you’ll have to wait, but wait is no longer than 10-15 min. Sometimes there’s so many options you don’t know what to choose. You can start with the sandwiches first if you want to try something different or if you are looking for something to warm your belly, the soup options are the way to go!
Food comes out relatively quickly and service is not bad. I find the Laksa tastier than some other places in Mississauga so you won’t be disappointed. There’s a lot of ingredients inside the laksa too. The Malaysian curry can be on the oily side so you may want to use a spoon to take away the top layer of oil. The curry isn’t that strong or spicy so for the mild curry lovers, you’ll like the curry.
LAST TIP!?
If you come at anytime between 8-10 am there’s the early bird special that you can take advantage of. The menu items are already pretty cheap but there’s menu items that can be even cheaper if you’re...
Read moreTerrible experience! The buns of the shimp burgers are completely burnt and as hard as a rock! For the record, I have been here at least 30 times since they opened and this is the first time I was so offended and realized this is how the owner/manager treats people after they paid.
I don't understand why the kitchen staff would put such items out for sale. If it is burnt, they should not serve it to customers! Just take a look at the pics and video.
The bun is extremely hard that I can't even give it a bite. I ordered it multiple times before, so I called the restaurant to complain, don't get me wrong the employee I talked to was nice and while the employee was communicating with the owner/manager, we heard he said in the background "What else do they want? It’s just a bun it’s not like you can eat it at all" and he also mentioned some discrimination words that I do not want to mention in here. Their resolution was "thank you for contacting us, the kitchen staff is recently hired and we will make sure this doesn't happen again." Imagine how mad we were after hearing what the man really said in the background? This became an issue beyond "toast"!
My family dinner was completely ruined. Very disappointed, not just the food but the attitude and how they treated their customer. People - this man who runs the place he judges you when you place a...
