A little bit surprised! Booth seating (廂位設置) – Under-valued? Cost-effective ! Vibe: Sometimes play Canto songs (粵語歌).

This “Cha Chaan Teng（茶餐廳）” surprises me by offering a costly dish called “Lobster Noodles (龍蝦伊麵 🦞🍜),” which is usually offered by midscale-to-upscale Cantonese restaurants (酒樓) . originated in Hong Kong🇭🇰 Generally, it serves Hong Kong cuisine, which is Cantonese cuisine with Western (mostly British) influences. They serve 🍞bread, cake, localized Western cuisine, tea/coffee, and Cantonese dishes.

I recommend “Cha Chaan Teng” because of its (無產階級）proletarian nature + comforting East-West hybrid fare! However, Cha Chaan Tengs are under threat, gradually disappearing🫥due to climbing costs…

I am very impressed🩷 , because this restaurant may be small in size, yet it still contains all the necessary elements(麻雀雖小,五臟俱全) . Please see menu provided by this cafe.

The 2nd reason : chefs👨‍🍳👩‍🍳 have already worked there for over 20+ years. The restaurant services are good and staffs are very nice!

If you haven’t tried Cantonese (East-West hybrid) cuisine, don’t hesitate to try it.

This restaurant screams memories and comfort food. It has been around for decades at Deer Run Plaza serving up honest home cooked HK Cantonese fare at fair prices for very decent portions.

They are especially famous for their steak dinners served on a sizzling hot plate with gravy poured on top which creates the sizzle when it hits the hot iron plate. Like I said before...HK comfort food. The sizzling steak combos which includes soup, a warm dinner bun and potato salad are a great deal.

Otherwise they have a wide variety of Chinese/HK dishes to appeal to a wide range of tastes. If you are in the mood for HK/ Cantonese food, they will probably have that dish that you are looking for.

The owners are still the same and the menu remains the same as well over the years. Times have changed, but sometimes we need a place to remain the same to bring back warm and happy memories of our favourite days gone by.

I have been here so many times that I can attest that their consistency is spot on.

My go-to place when I'm feeling really hungry and I can't decide on what to eat! A great place for a large portioned meal and a really good price. Only downfall is that it's a little rundown but if you can get past the appearance, you're in for a really good treat! Another problem you might encounter is that service is not the typical that you would get at another restaurant, but I'm okay with that because I go to many Asian restaurants and it's accustomed for them to leave you to enjoy your food.

Me and my partner's regular order is an order of baked chicken in cream sauce, mussels in cream sauce, and a combo special of sweet and sour pork with chicken fried rice. Their cream sauce is to die for! I recommend that you at least...
