Sadly a place I’ve eaten has been closed TEMP. It’s unsafe and was shut. How to trust them in the kitchen now?
Fancy Kitchen, located at 4040 Creditview Rd., Unit B3, was inspected twice recently, once on 2024 Oct. 11 when inspectors ordered the business to close temporarily, and again a day later when inspectors issued the restaurant with a yellow conditional pass, permitting it to reopen. According to Peel Region, the initial inspection showed results of:
Did operator maintain the mechanical ventilation system to remove odours, fumes, vapours, smoke and excessive heat? — not in compliance Did operator take adequate measures to maintain food premises in a condition that prevent harbourage or breeding of pests? (critical risk) — not in compliance Did operator maintain and operate food premises free from any condition that is a health hazard? — not in compliance The results of the 2024 Oct. 12 inspection were:

Read moreWe decided to try this place since it’s new and lots of restaurants in the area were closed. We saw the review and thought to give this a try. What a nice surprise! We got a variety of food from their menu and honestly all of them are five stars and must try! Green Beans with Olive Minced Pork: beans were very crunchy and no strings! Other restaurants usually leave the strings in. Minced pork were very generous and the olive bits were tasty. Sweet and sour fish fillet: the fish were perfectly fried and well seasoned. The veggies were not overcooked. The fish tasted fresh and soft. Spicy pepper squid: very crispy on the outside and the squid were still soft and has springy enough texture! The seasoning is salty and spicy enough. Salted Egg Yolk Shrimp: first of all, it’s quite hard to find this in other restaurants in Mississauga. Similar to the other fried stuff we got, this was perfectly fried, crispy, with large shrimps on the inside that’s soft and springy. Pork Intestines with Chili Pepper: perfectly seasoned and paired with the chili pepper and coriander leaves make a perfect combo in your mouth.
I rarely ever leave such detailed reviews, but this restaurant is definitely one of the best in Mississauga. It was our first time and the staffs were very kind as well. We’ll come...
Read moreAn authentic and hits the spot for yummy canto dishes. Been away from home for a while now and not many restaurants in Canada can match up to the flavour profile of my hometown Malaysia. Although the dishes are canto style, Malaysia has variety in all the dialects from China and Hong Kong too so I’m very familiar and enjoy canto style cuisine.
The wok hey can definitely be tasted with my Mapo Tofu. Although it’s simple dishes but these dishes are elevated from other regular Chinese restaurants that lack flavour and technique to bring out the robustness of the simple dishes.
And everytime I see salt and pepper fried chicken wings, my heart starts pounding cuz I love chicken wings Asian style. This was not disappointing one bit. The crunchiness, saltiness, garlicky and hints of spice all perfectly balanced. Even after tapao-ing and reheating in the oven, it was just as crispy as in the restaurant. Definitely my favourite place for chicken wings now.
Service was fast and helpful. Food arrived real fast and definitely worth to visit during their lunch time menu (11am to 4pm) to get the best bang for buck. This place brought home cuisine closer to me and...
