Dairy Queen Grill & Chill — Restaurant in Mississauga

This place wow broke my heart when 2 boys I believe Ethiopian teenagers no more then 16 were both trying to buy meals to eat I was out with my son and husband for a caramel sundae when the cashier rudely said cancel their order they dont have enough money they didnt pay forget it! they tried 3 cards nothing worked. I told my husband can you asked her what they ordered can we please just pick it up because by this point the 2 boys had gone outside to sit on the park bench slouched over.I thought maybe they wanted a drink? I felt bad it broke my heart the cashier said they ordered 2 meals like 5 and change each my husband said put the order through tell the guy at the back to make it and we will cover it. The girl looked at us as if we committed a crime. For a measley 12 dollars we made 2 boys day. Thata what kills me 12 bucks. They didnt stop thanking us we said come in and eat up. They kept saying God bless you they said thank you so much so respectfully tful you can see these 2 boys were good kids. They looked in shame at us eating and waited for us to leave so they can go eat inside. They sat on the bench with the food the whole time. This is mississauga man it's sad the amount of poverty we have. I hope that paying it forward and someday my kids will encounter good people to help as well if we were ever stuck like this. These kids weren't dressed with the latest shoes or gucci clothes they were simple regular kids wanting to eat and for 12 bucks dairy queen you couldn't pick up whatever they were short???? Wow its food man now drugs booze ok never a fan but even when I needed change for laundry I always give what I had from that for someone to have a coffee and bagel or what have you anything helps. Were born the same we die the same. Do onto your fellow brother and sister as you would have them do onto you. BTW takes forever for kids strips and some fries the grill was a bad idea. Stick to sweets...

My partner and I stopped in to get a small ice cream. When we arrived there was only one person a head of us. While we were waiting my partner needed to go to the bathroom he asked once and the staff said no, he then asked again the staff then said she would open it for him. She continued to serve the guest in front of us but continued to ignore my partner and never opened the bathroom. After the person in front of us was finished she was about to take our order but then stopped and started making the orders for the uber drivers that arrived after us. My partner again asked hey can I just use the bathroom she ignored him. At this point a line started to form of about 7 people. She then came to take our order but I asked her can he please use the bathroom while I order, she again said after I ordered then I said “I’m going to order can you just open the bathroom for him first while I order” she rolled her eyes and then just walked towards the bathroom. When she came back she said nothing and I just ordered the items I wanted . After I ordered again another uber drivers arrived and she ignored our order and started making the order for uber we waited 10 minutes. At this point I wanted to leave but I had already paid. When she came back to give us the two ice creams she had lots of attitude but we also noticed she gave us significantly less than standard for toppings. To avoid making an issue we just took it. Since it was raining we thought we would eat our dessert inside then leave. We couldn’t help but notice the staff was ignoring the line of people and only completed uber orders. The line almost reached out the door. Everyone can understand being understaffed but the attitude and blatant ignoring of customers is just unacceptable. I won’t be returning to this...

Such an awful experience. We ordered around 5:30pm initially hoping to dine-in until we were told by staff that the dining area was closed - which is strange for a franchise restaurant because we are in step 3 of the pandemic reopening in Ontario and most (if not all) dine-in areas have reopened with social distancing measures. In any case, we had ordered some hot foods (burger and chicken strips) as well as 2 blizzards. We were told they needed to turn on the fryer for the chicken strips so it would be a 7min wait and that we needed to wait outside. There was only 1 other person in the store with us. We proceeded to go and wait outside. I came back inside 9 minutes later only to see a huge line-up of people behind the cash. I was thinking they would just call my name as I had already placed my order and the food would've been ready by then but they did not. I ended up waiting in line for another 7 or so minutes. By the time I got to the front, they passed me my blizzards which were CLEARLY melted. They also didn't serve the blizzards upside down, which we can all assume it was because they were so melted... so melted to the point that the bottom of the cup got crushed when the server put it in the tray for me. The only thing that was fresh was the whipped cream. I know we're supposed to get the blizzards free if they aren't served upside down but I didn't want to call the server out and be that person holding up the line even longer because there was a huge lineup behind me already and I felt bad for the others behind me. No one even bothered to apologize. What a mess. Never coming back to...
