I’m not complaining about the food—I went in last week with my husband, and we ordered our meal, which was fine. While we were eating, though, a middle-aged employee started sweeping under our table, even sweeping near our feet. I thought it was a little rude but didn’t make a big deal out of it, since it didn’t take too long. My husband thought it was strange, too, but we shrugged it off.
After we finished eating, I went to the bathroom and ended up slipping and falling hard on my side, which left a bruise on my rib the next day. A girl who heard me fall asked if I was okay, and when I looked around, I noticed there was no wet floor sign! I called over the woman who was cleaning and asked her if she had mopped, and she said yes. I then asked where the wet floor sign was, and she told me they were broken and she didn’t have any. I told her that’s illegal and she snapped back, saying, “You should watch where I’m cleaning, pay attention.” Seriously? I asked her to call her manager, but instead, she walked to the men’s washroom, said something in her language, and walked off.
I was in shock, and the other girl who had been in the bathroom with me just looked at me like, "Did that really just happen?" I was too scared to walk to the sink to wash my hands, so I slowly made my way to speak to the manager, who was apparently in the men’s washroom fixing a toilet with a cook. I told her I had fallen because of the wet floor, and she just said, “Oh, I’m sorry,” and went back to fixing the toilet. Are you kidding me? Is this really okay?
I left feeling upset and am seriously considering what to do next. If the corporate office or owner of this location thinks I’m making this up, check the cameras between 12:30 and 1:00 pm on Friday, January 24th, and you’ll see exactly what happened. This is a serious health and...
Read moreOrdered from Skip the Dishes and first must say the Popeyes is very much lacking on their order form. Usually most places will have a section on each item where you can add a note or request, comment , whatever. There is nowhere on Popeyes ordering you can do that. Example would have preferred to order their apple pies without the sugar sprinkled on top (as you can in the restaurant). Had ordered the Hotwings, tried them for the first time last week at a different Popeyes and they were cooked fresh, big and very good. These were terrible, thought we'd ordered the plain Hotwings with no sauce, they were covered in sauce and soggy. Worse was they had obvioulsy been cooked long before as they were mearly warm and tough. Also don't understand how they could be so much smaller than the other Popeyes we'd recently been to. Not to mention the order of 12 Wings had 10 and a half. The half being a small piece of bone battered. Similar experience with the order of 10 shrimp, again been sitting for sometime under a lamp, there was 8 and two little tail ends battered (no shrimp in them at all). As for the onion rings, they were freshly cooked, not cooked long enough as they were not even golden yet, the onion still cold and uncooked. the only positive were the fries, cooked well and hot. Bravo Popeyes Mississauga one out of four items that were fresh, cooked properly and hot. Horrible waste of money, to put that little effort and not care what you serve is a shame. Not a good way to get...
Read moreWent here Monday, September 2nd, 2024 (Labor Day) around 11AM with my wife and daughter. It was barely busy, about 3 other customers. Ordered the 2 for $12 chicken sandwiches. The lady who took my order seemed to confuse herself when I asked for the 2 for $12 chicken sandwiches. She asked if I wanted it as a combo or on its own. Did she not hear what I ordered? They were having problems with their credit machine, so they were using a portable backup one. When I paid, she handed me my receipt, which had no order number on it. We sat down and waited... and waited for approximately 30 minutes until I went up to the counter to ask. The same lady who took my order and gave me my receipt asked for my receipt with order number which I replied to as "I don't know this is the receipt you gave me" she then asked me what I ordered. Like, really? I told her it was 2 chicken sandwiches, and she then proceeded to make it on the spot. Seems like she forgot my order, God knows how long we would have waited had I not gone up to the counter. Not to mention, the buns were stone cold. They are usually toasted. I can understand if it was super busy, but this is unacceptable l. We've been here plenty of times, and it's usually good. We just seem to have issues with this one lady in the past with wrong or missing items when we go.I like to give the benefit of the doubt but now with this situation, with the same lady I have to leave...
