Feb'25 update: Reducing my rating from 5 to 1 star. Cheap and unethical practice - in their offer of any menu item at 4.99, they did not mention that they have reduced the portions so much! Everything we ordered was smaller (Ameristari kulcha) or lesser (noodles, veg curries) than what they served before this offer. Typical chhote dukaandaro wali harkatein. And yes, phone data doesn't work inside the restaurant, even standing next to the front windows. This is especially irritating as their time to make just a few takeout dishes is 40 - 50 min.
Oct'24 update: increasing my rating from 4 to 5 stars just because of the smiling helpful service given by the girl at the counter - Jas.
Aug'24 update: Dined-in. Good tasting food, prices as well as quantity (we had thali, chhole bhature - both on deals, momo poutine, amritsari kulcha - close to full marks for everything). Attentive and friendly staff. Tried ghevar - hard as a leather belt! Upgrading my rating from a 1 star to 4 now.
Earlier in 2024: Never got to eat there. Visited them at around 7.30pm on a Thursday it was looking absolutely deserted, empty shelves, no customers, giving an impression it was closed (although it's open till 2am). There were a couple of employees when we entered but neither made any effort to engage with us, especially since there was no menu!! There was a stamp sized image on the screens above (zoom into the photo to see), from which we just couldn't figure out what's available. Despite (am sure) them noticing our struggle, no one volunteered to help us with what's available. Had no choice but to walk out after an awkward 2 minute spent there.
Will surely give them another chance because I kind of liked what they have to offer and their prices as I saw online. Eager to update my review and rating...
Read moreI wish i could rate them negative, this was my first time at their location and everything went well until i tried their main course.
Gol gappa, was descent in taste but then the most terrible experience happened, after their afghani chaap recommendation we ordered it and also ordered naan with veg thali.
There was no cutlery or glasses on the table, music was super loud, could not even talk at the table.
Now comes the crapy, most disgusting food i ever tried in my life.
Soya chaap was from a can and was deep fried and tossed in some sauce garnished with onion, raw green pepper and cabbage.
Then comes the thali which had raita(salty), kadhi ( super salty), daal makhni ( tasted stale and old ), paneer makhni ( don’t even know what it tastes like, i hate paneer from now)
Cane with rice ( here is the big deal the rice were stale and were smelly thank god I didn’t feed my kid ) after confronting the staff- he replies that he was away for couple days and someone mist have mistakenly pit lemon ( really, you kidding me is this the reply you expect on stale smelly rice. How could they even serve on the plate)
And don’t even talk about naan, took them 20 min to make one naan. I was about to loose my cool and just wanted to leave but I didn’t wanted to create a scene. After all this, they had the balls to charge me full amount. After tell the cashier I won’t pay for thali she then charged me for - gol gappa $6 , soya chaap - $10.99, Naan - $2.99
I paid $30 for the most disgusting food and the most terrible experience i ever had in Canada.
I don’t usually write negative reviews, but here they left me with no choice. I won’t ever visit this location again.
Sorry...
Read moreExtremely Disappointed – Poor Quality & Misleading lunch Tiffin Service
Despite several reminders and warnings, Delhi Hub continues to deliver stale, day-old food through their tiffin service. It’s obvious that freshness and hygiene are not their priorities. What’s worse is their careless and unapologetic attitude—they simply don’t care about customer feedback.
Missing items are a regular issue. They promise curd/yogurt and a proper salad with every meal, but all we ever get is sour curd and a few slices of raw onion passed off as salad. It’s clear they don’t even bother tasting the food before sending it out, and the quality has consistently declined.
They are also completely unaware of what’s being sent to customers. They frequently ask, “What was delivered today?”—which clearly shows how disconnected they are from their own operations. The lunch tiffin is delivered as early as 7 AM, so it raises a serious question: When exactly do they start cooking fresh food? The food arrives cold, making it hard to believe it’s prepared on the same day.
Overall, a very lenient and irresponsible service. If you’re thinking of subscribing, think twice. This is not a one-time mistake—it’s a consistent pattern of poor service, low standards, and false promises. Not recommended at all.
If you really care about eating healthy, don’t let the low price fool you. Spend a bit more and eat good, fresh...
