Ambience: ** The restaurant has a simple and average ambience. They have placed a fountain at the entrance which was not running when I had visited hence not sure if it's functional. The seating is cramped however I do not think their business serves candle light diners or customers looking for high end fancy set-up.
Quantity vs. Price: * We paid $53 in total for one plate each of Dry Chilli Chicken, Chicken Manchurian with gravy, House Special Manchurian Fried Rice and House Special Hakka Noodles. Chicken Manchurian and Chilli Chicken were served with a bowl of white rice each. The quantity was more than enough for 4 adults with wholesome appetite, hence be ready for a doggy bag if you are not too hungry! They charge $1 extra for Dry Chilli Chicken. Out of menu they serve Chilli Chicken with gravy.
Quality: * House Special Hakka Noodles and House Special Manchurian Rice had a mix of chicken and shrimp in them. Shrimps were soft and tasty (perfectly cooked) however chicken had a distinct taste which comes when you add pre-boiled pieces without frying enough which I personally don't like. The chicken pieces in rice and noodles missed the desired flavor. Despite, Hakka Chowmein was my personal favorite from the menu.
Service: ** I observed that waiters/servers did not have designated tables hence it was a struggle for us to find somebody to request for water or even the check. The servers don't check on you again after the food is served. However the service was quick and polite when you could catch hold of them. I like waiters when they smile (not the fake type), so no complains there!
Overall Experience: ** The best Indian Chinese I have had in Toronto. My recommendation is, please ask to serve spicy only if you have a stomach for Indian spicy food! The portions are large and satiable. A wonderful place to visit with friends and family. I would definitely recommend Eddie's Wok N Roll if you are craving for some spicy yummy Indo-Chinese food!

Read moreWe ordered the crispy beef, lemon fish, tiger prawns, and hakka noodles! The waiters were nice, however, when we raised the complaint of the fish having a smell we were told that they would exchange it for something else which was great. We were told that the kitchen is closing and we need to pick fast, and before that the owner came over to not only tell us that we are wrong but also that he tried it and it was fine we didn't say anything and proceeded to order the chilli paneer in replacement. Come bill time we paid and just wanted to mention to our server that this is not a way to treat customers especially when we were paying the price of the fish but got paneer. The server apologized for the behavior of the owner and said that we can talk to him if we would like we agreed thinking its just a discussion not a point of contention. So, we waited a couple of minutes for them to decided whether or not it was worth it. We decided that the wait was not worth it so we were about to leave, the owner decides to show up with a condescending and pretentious attitude. We tell him the situation and state that its just about principle of letting your customers know that despite the exchange you will still be paying for the original dish regardless as they don't price adjust. He started giving us attitude and saying that it's our tastes and not the fish as he tasted it and we basically said that we should not have to defend ourselves if the meat tasted off to us? Long story short he was rude and standoffish even though there was another complain about the food right after our complaint. We stated that it was never about the extra $2 but moreso how you treat people and overall customer service and he was not having any of it. Was very disappointed especially coming back after years as we were regulars for like 15 years prior, we wouldn't have brought it up but the response of the owner was not it. Rather than apologizing or understanding the meaning he was like you guys should visited other restaurants they never take...
Read moreEddie Wok and Roll has become an absolute nightmare. They're shamelessly inflating prices across the board, charging a ridiculous $12 for a paltry four cans of coke or ice tea. And to add insult to injury, they're sneakily tacking on a 15% tip without bothering to give customers a heads-up, leaving me boiling mad with a hefty $23 tip for downright atrocious service! a meal for four people cost me a staggering $175 The quality of service has hit rock bottom, and trying to find a decent spot feels like navigating through a chaotic jungle, especially amidst the mayhem near the washrooms and kitchen.
I've been a loyal patron for years, but enough is enough. It's time they need to wake up and realize that in this day and age there is many options not like back in days , providing quality service and reasonable prices is non-negotiable. It's not like 15 years ago when they had a monopoly. If they persist with these shady practices and subpar staff, I wouldn't be surprised if they shut down in the near future.
