This place is close to awful.
Somehow this place was rated 92% with Google and that is exactly why I suggested a friend and I meet there to catch up. I brought my 7 month old as well. I called ahead to make sure they had highchairs with lap-belts and they did. They also told me the wait around 10 am would be about 15 minutes and it was. We were seated at a table with a highchair by friendly staff.
But, from there it went downhill. The table we were sitting at was a light coloured wood but the edges were BLACK and sticky. Of course, the high chair was the perfect height to line my teething daughter up with the edge of the table too. GROSS! We used baby wipes and hand sanitizer to try and wipe it down and they kept coming up black but there was no way to clean these edges. I kept her pulled back from the table and occupied her with toys while we ate. The highchair and chair-backs were also dirty and sticky. The place was filled with a burnt-oil smoke and we all left wreaking of a stinky diner - it was all in our hair and clothes. My husband even commented on it when we came home.
The menu they gave me was torn along the spine and nearly in two pieces. My meal was really awful. I know breakfast is this places specialty but I ordered a grilled chicken salad. The salad consisted of mainly the spines of romaine lettuce with a sprinkle of tiny pieces of tomato and green pepper and about 4 pieces of red onion. It gets worse. My "grilled chicken" was a single warmed piece of one of those processed/formed/salty chicken breasts that people who care little to none about their health eat. I politely complained to the waitress and she kindly offered a substitute and I opted for a few poached eggs instead - which were cooked to my request.
Overall, I think this place is dirty, I mean GROSS dirty, poorly cared-for and my meal was just disgusting. The only positives are that the staff were nice and kept coming around with hot coffee pots to fill your cup which was nice. I had decaf coffee and it tasted great.
On the other hand, the one girl did frighten me though because while carrying two likely very hot pots of...
Read moreI was looking for a close-by place for brunch with a friend. When we arrived, we got a table immediately. We had three people taking our order or serving. It was a bit strange. The owner took our order first with drinks. Then another girl came and asked to take our order and told her someone already had taken it. Another girl was a runner with coffee and asked if we need anything. I asked for hot sauce and she gave me a bottle of Franks Red Hot. The colour of the sauce was light red to pink. It was so gross! How long they had them and probably sitting in the sun. Condiments are supposed to be stored away in a dark, cool, dry place. I asked for another bottle, which they brought from.the back. The first girl took our order on her iPad. She gave us an option for white or brown toast and I asked if they have they had rye bread, she said yes but there will be an additional charge. What?! For rye bread?! Never heard of that at any breakfast place I've been to. When the drinks came, the girl didnt ask if I would like cream or milk and sweetner for coffee. She just brought a cup of coffee with a spoon in it. When the food came, first impression was the presentation was lacking. The food was terrible and low quality. Potatoes were old and burnt, turkey bacon was overcooked and hard as cardboard, and eggs tasted off and edges were burnt. I ordered three eggs and they made two. I asked what happened to the 3rd one? She said it's coming. Same thing with the the fruit bowl I ordered on the side. She said it's coming. You mean your cook forgot to make these items. Also we had a cheap fruit garnish for our breakfast. Also she said, it's coming. Such a lazy and clumsy service. Seems like they don't understand English. Cutlery looks cheap and plates looks worn down and could be cleaned better. Such a run down place. Such a disappointment. Please don't bother...

My brother in law and I came in to have breakfast. We were greeted poorly and asked to "just sit somewhere" , while others who happened to be elderly , lighter skinned clients, were greeted with how are you and escorted to a seat.
Then, the person serving us (happened to be the owner as I found out after), was acting as if she owed us child support, in the sense of treatment and not providing refills of tea/coffee, or asking if we wanted any, nor even bringing us napkins. Other patrons were being treated with warm conversations and attended to more frequently.
At the end , I asked to speak to the owner , who came along with whom I believe was the store manager. The store manager seemed to be taking a defensive stance from the start , and after expressing my concerns in a proper manner , I was informed "I am sorry BUT your concerns are bogus, we never had this complaint before" and was walking away. The owner then said " I am Muslim, and I believe you are too" but I said that religious believes shouldn't be a measurement or indication dirently/indirectly of treatment.
I am not sure if I want to visit this establishment again. Being treated based on race in unacceptable to me , and no one should have to worry about their color or believe before frequenting an...
