CAUTION!!! WATCH OUT FOR THE LADY IN GREY AND SHORT MAN IN PURPLE AS SEEN ABOVE!! POOR QUALITY AND INACCURATE SERVICE!! WORKERS DON’T SPEAK ENGLISH!!
I’ve been eating at Mediterranean restaurants for a long time, and am a huge fan of dishes such as chicken on the rocks, shawarmas, etc. Never, have I ever received such poor, inaccurate service on a constant basis than from this store, Its ridiculous. My last 5 orders have all been inaccurate. For instance, I would order half and half chicken( a popular dish, which is half rice and half fries of the normal chicken on the rocks dish) and Keep in mind this costs MORE than the regular. However, I come to find out when I’m eating that there are NO fries! NONE! Even though the lady in grey above clearly told me there was. She lied and I took her word for it. Mistake. This has happened on many occasions to not only me but my friends aswell. Furthermore, the lady in the grey in the picture above, BEWARE of her, she once try to scam me for my change ( I was owed $8.50 change from her and she gave me $6!) and she does it on a regular basis. She also gave me someone else’s order which was completely different from mine and that which got cancelled, and lied to me about it saying it was mine until I opened it and confronted her about it. She’s a taller than average woman that doesn’t speak/communicate in english well, you can’t miss it. Also, beware of the short man in the purple above as well. He frequently messes up alot of orders. I had once found a tiny plastic wrap, along with burnt and unfresh pieces in my food. Disgusting. This has been going on for some time.
This place USED TO be great in terms of service. Not anymore. The new workers not only don’t speak English (trouble communicating with), but don’t give you what you ordered accurately and don’t give accurate change amount, and they keep raising the prices. I recommend to try to avoid this store and go to the one on Eglinton, but if you do go here, make sure to DOUBLE CHECK your order , the quality/freshness of your food, and your...
Read moreTo preface all of this, the food was really good. The experience was severely lacking.
I'm not sure if the staff had been recently replaced, but my experience tonight was one that spoke of lack of experience and leadership. I walked into a long lineup. There were two women working away behind the counter and a manager (I assume) arms crossed, brooding over them. There was no music playing, no chatter, just silence. Things were already feeling off.
When I took my order, I asked for my wrap and a side with a drink. The woman keyed in my wrap, she didn't key in anything else. No problem. I repeated the latter half of my of my order. Saw the price didn't match the menu. I brought this up, she keyed it in differently, and the price got worse.
The manager unfolds his arms and walks over and tries to help. When I tell him my order, he keys it in wrong too. I explain what it says in the menu behind him, to which he says he 'doesn't have that option on the register'. It wasn't until he turned around and looked at the menu that he finally saw what I was looking at. Shrugged, keyed in something that was the same price and walked away to stand and brood.
I thought the only saving grace was to get my food and leave. My wrap arrived and was handed to me. I asked about the remained of my order. Everyone looked confused. Then realized no one started my sides. The line cook was apologetic, but not a word from the brooding manager.
I don't know if the manager is new or a stand-in, but a good leader needs to know what they are doing, how to motivate their staff, how to help out when in the weeds, and how to be forward facing when issues arise with customers. This place has good food and...

It's been about 4 years since my last review and this location has remained consistent.
Great spot to stop for chicken on the rocks and shawarma sandwiches.
Reasonably priced, good portions, and daily deals.
Previous review:
A good spot for chicken on the rocks - Good food and great value. Their Taza on the rocks is very generously portioned and reasonably priced. Fries, rice, garlic and hot sauce are all great - but they could definitely improve on their chicken. Instead of thinly slicing the cooked portions of chicken off the spit they cut big chunks of cooked and uncooked chicken off, then throw it on the flat top grill to finish cooking it, and chop up the meat like crazy to ensure it is all cooked quickly. I'm all for throwing shawarma meat on the flat top after its sliced to crisp it up a little bit, but that's not what they're doing here. The texture of the chicken ends up coming out almost like a ground chicken and doesn't really resemble the shawarma meat im used to eating. If they could improve on the cooking process for their chicken I could see them having the best chicken on the rocks in...
