Options: ALL HALAL. beef burgers, chicken burgers, steak sandwiches, salads, poutine & milkshakes.
Service : The girls who work here were sweet but a lot of reserved Muslim crowds come here and you could literally see one servers underwear through her see through skin-tight tights. (think there should be some sort of dress code, did not need to see that the whole time we ate and a lot of husband's eyes were gonna pop out of thier head lol). My poutine taste absolutely disgusting, and I asked if I could change my poutine to sweet potato fries (which are cheaper btw) and, I had paid in the mid 20s for my meal and barely touched the poutine...they said that since its already made that it could not be swapped. This is ridiculous, have never had a restaurant say that this was not an option or offer a refund. Never going back again because that's pretty cheap to pull as an owner, this place makes money so shouldn't have been an issue. My friends also did not like the food at all they said they would never go back. We got assorted things including chicken and beef burgers. The wait for a table is long but for the food it's pretty quick. It would be helpful to have a number system or mic in place so you can hear the servers call out numbers as customers couldn't and ignored them (my friend told them which table had which number)... I think it's fine if customers walk up to the cash instead to get thier orders when numbers are called, less confusion and need for stressed servers who are trying to yell or get everyone's attention every few mins.
Ambience : The logo and overall design is cool.. We went on a Friday night and it was super crowded and there was a line upto the door.. It's a smaller space so I recommend coming at a less busy time /day. The crowd here is a mixture of younger people, couples, and Muslim families.
Overall rating : The 2 stars are for the beef burger and chicken strips on thier own or I would have given lower to be honest. The poutine was cold and taste absolutely disgusting, I can't even describe it.. Don't get it. At least my brother's poutine had his cheese melted .. The crispy cheese add-on to the burger also had a nasty aftertaste. Really wanted to enjoy this place, but me and my friends won't be going back. The beef burgers are ok if you want a halal option and have a craving for them. Think this is over rated. Hate to give these kind of reviews but just...
Read moreNice place. Burgers are made fresh to order and take about 15 mins from order to table
I went for a late lunch on a Tuesday and the place was empty. However by the time I was finished..around 4pm, it was about half full.
There is capacity for 48 people from my count and it is quite small.
I had a Cesar burger which is 2x6oz patties with caramelized onions, pickle, tomato and most importantly for me...a fried egg. I understand what other reviewers comment regarding the rosemary, but for me it was noticeable, but not overpowering. I did find however that the salting of the meat was uneven, but that may be due to the fact that my burger fell apart. This was fine as they normally cook their burgers well done. Since they fresh grind daily, I was able to ask for a medium rare burger...man was it juicy.
Drinks are served in can so no refills.
The fries are nicely sliced and cooked with a nice crisp. Possibly double fried? But can't say for sure.
The restaurant itself is pretty sparse, with not much in the way of decor...but it's not really needed.
Parking is more than ample.
All in all, the Cesar was 12.98 which I made into a combo for 4.75. After tax and tip...22.93.
Honestly? Quite a bit for a meal for one, but overall not a bad burger joint which appears to be independently family owned.
They do need a lunch special of some sort though.
Would I come back? Possibly if I'm in the area. Recommended for those who want to try fresh burgers and to support local business...otherwise, there are some cheaper options.
Oh..service was nice and no nonsense, which is fine in a burger restaurant.
Lastly...it is Halal, but doesn't change the taste or...
Read moreEver wondered what a post retro 80's vibe, mixed with the grandiose feel of Roman Empire artistry looked like? Well, me neither but the Gladiator Burger & Streak restaurant located at Erin Mills screams what I described earlier.
The setting, customer service, venue, food, and location are all great! I've only ever eaten Gladiator Burger once before after a quick decision to splurge on Uber Eats one summer night, maybe two years ago. However, the dining experience is so much better!
It's tricky to describe, but this location in particular offered great service. Don't be mistaken, I wouldn't categorize this as a formal restaurant, but it's close to that! Emulating the feel of classic Hollywood with the restaurant's colour and the menu's milk shakes, coupled with the staff's uniform is the cherry on top.
Though seating arrangements are limited, there are a few spots outside the restaurant joint that you can pick to eat at, making this the perfect location to dine at during an informal romantic date (you got this!!), or a much more informal friend hangout (have fun!!).
Zeena was the name of our cashier, who assisted my friends and I wonderfully (as did all the other staff who I'd be remiss to say I'm unable to recall their names).
As for the meal, I picked the classic "Warrior" burger combo which simply put: is a great tasting burger with decent fries and I helped myself to a bottle of water. Gladiator Burger is the perfect place to go if you're in need of a burger! Beware, this fast food restaurant does get busy, so plan ahead or opt...
