Kelsey’s Delivery Review | 🔵Second Review Below
Ordered through Uber Eats, and if I wasn’t at home, I’d be speaking to the manager in person.
Let’s start here: no napkins, no fork, no spoon. I ordered cheesecake but had nothing to eat it with, so for the first time in my life, I ate cheesecake with chopsticks. (Leftovers from Japanese takeout the night before.)
The cheesecake was extremely sweet. Not creamy, just soft. The base was also overly sweet. Honestly, it didn’t even taste like cheesecake.
The yam fries were okay. Not bad, but nothing stood out. The burger was average. No rich flavor in the meat or bacon, and the onion slice was unusually thick. Not a huge issue, but definitely not ideal. And the Pepsi? No wonder it tasted off, it was seven months expired. Still fizzy, but not right. I caught it by chance (see photo).
Overall: Low presentation, underwhelming flavors, and a surprising number of oversights. Unfortunately, not worth the calories or the cost.
🔵Second Visit to Kelsey’s – A Mixed Experience
This was my second visit to Kelsey’s today, and I really wanted to give them a fair chance. They have everything they need to do well, good location, a solid menu, and friendly front-of-house staff. But there are clearly issues behind the scenes, especially with kitchen preparation, presentation, and possibly management oversight.
The Good: • Service: Once again, the service was genuinely friendly. The host and server responded promptly, and they showed a willingness to help, even if they subtly downplayed some issues that seemed familiar to them. • Wings: I ordered the creamy and fond wings, and they were excellent, flavorful and well-cooked. This was the highlight of the meal.
The Disappointing: • Pepsi: I was served another flat Pepsi, completely stale, no fizz, no bubbles. And incredibly, it had the same expiry date as earlier today, August 11, 2025. That’s now twice in one day. This is unacceptable and suggests a recurring inventory or quality control issue. • Main Dish (Poutine or Protein-Based Dish): • The protein was off the menu without clear explanation. • The gravy arrived lukewarm to cold, the cheese curds weren’t melted, and the fries were just okay. • The server suggested this wasn’t a “main dish,” implying it might not be held to the same standard, but that doesn’t excuse poor temperature or presentation. • Dips: The dips came in small plastic containers that were only half full or less. It looked careless, as if shortcuts are being taken.
Overall Impression:
It feels like there are shortcuts being taken in the kitchen, and perhaps management is unaware, or worse, ignoring them. The potential is there: the front-line staff are great, the wings were excellent, and the space is welcoming. But food quality, preparation, and presentation need serious attention.
This wasn’t about one bad item, it was a pattern. As someone who returned with good faith and tried to enjoy the experience, I hope this feedback helps Kelsey’s improve and deliver the standard they are fully capable...

Came here for wings night, which was suppose to be amazing wings. 6 adults and a toddler. Took a while for anyone to come to our table. So we didn't chance it and ordered both our drinks and meals at the same time. I ordered a cider, they didn't have it. So I tried for a vodka soda. It never came. When I asked halfway through the meal, was told they also don't have it. Gave up and just said bring me water. That also never came. Everyone else ordered drinks. Someone ordered rootbeer and since they didn't have it, thought they could just bring flat Pepsi. Needless to say, it was sent back.
Food, we naturally ordered wings and a kids meal for the toddler. Thought I would try the steak. No steak available. What kind of roadhouse doesn't have steak in stock?!?! Settled for the wings. They were super dry and tasteless. Kids meal never arrived, but the apple juice did. We asked twice and the adults were almost done eating before I asked to speak to a manager and cancel the kids meal since he had already filled up on fries and chicken. Manager admitted that the waitress forgot to punch in the kids meal. Then how did the apple juice make it to us at the beginning? She offered to comp the kids meal since it was "almost ready" in back. I said he's full. Pack it up then. 10mins later, waitress shows up to serve the kids meal, but not the side for the kids meal. Manager tells her to pack it up, but I pointed out that the veggies aren't even there to complete the original order. She said she noticed that and will fix it. Meal gets packed, but no dessert given. When I looked inside, the should be "steamed broccoli" became raw veggie sticks that belong with the wings.
We watched 2 other tables complain about the same waitress. One table even got up and left. At the end of the meal, the manager says "Perhaps I shouldn't schedule her on wing night. She's probably overwhelmed".
Let's just say I will never be returning to this place. Not even if the...
Read moreStaff was great ….. when we seen them, only time they came by was when we piled all our empty drinks and plates on the edge of the table, and then it was still a wait and it wasn’t even very busy, our first waitress then went off so we cleared our tab and still near 45+mins later have yet to see our new waitress as we have a pile of dishes on our table. The food was actually pretty good minus the steak, flavour was ok but idk where they get their beef was super tough and my rare steak was a touch over cooked and the mrs med rare was a good cook but the knife had to saw through it. Idk if I’m being picky but definitely isn’t the service and beef quality we are used to in Alberta, had higher hopes for our first time in Toronto but guess next time we are here we will have have to go to a 5 star 300+ dollar restaurant for what we get in a cheap dingy pub in Alberta. So far, as I’ve typed this it’s been near a hour since someone has came to ask if we need anything, finally someone showed and I asked for a drink to be told the bartender is busy so I couldn’t have a simple old fashion, then when I said what ever don’t worry about it the waitress said she will go ask if he will make one, like even after eating it took 3 passes to clear our 2 dishes, 1 glass and were still left with the residual after near 1 hour or completing our meal. The picture was taken near 30 mins after our 2 plates got taken. On another not for being a Wednesday and not even a wing night or busy night and as nice of a atmosphere the place holds the mens bathroom smells like a pss hole, the keg urinals are a nice touch but are...
