Fresh great food for an affordable price therefore anytime I pass by Port Credit and I get hungry I only buy food from here. There are many times when I have to wait in a long line but it’s worth the wait.

Hard to rate when the products are good but customer service is utterly subpar. My family has lived in the Port Credit area for a very long time, and have noticed a distinct downturn in their customer service. I thought barely acknowledging customers was bad enough, and since their products are good, I overlooked that. Then today, I encountered employees who were not able to respond appropriately to questions asked. Pretty simple question: why do you have 2 signs for sweet peppers & eggplant bread showing different prices? No viable answer. So I asked again at the cash register when charged the higher price. No viable answer. I then mention to the cashier (different person from the one who got the bread for me and was asked the question first) that they should check their signs. This unfolds into switching the bread to the lower priced one -- not what I asked to happen. I simply asked why there were two different prices stated for what - on the sign - appeared to be the same thing.

Sadly, this could have been resolved easily if any of the employees involved had taken the time to simply look at the signs and mention there was a mistake or a miscommunication with the original employee understanding what I wanted or where exactly this bread was situated. Instead the cashier gives a big sigh and THE eye roll. At that point I am DONE. Clearly their customer service has declined greatly over the years (did ownership change?!?) and enough that my family will not be buying their products again. I recommend you spend your money where customers are valued and...

Rude Owner (older woman). Staff are kind and just doing their job. Visited about 3 times this month on Saturday and experienced the same thing. The staff are unnecessarily stressed because the older women(Owner) is so obscenely rude. They rush people for no reason. Her younger staff just “tolerate” this behaviour maybe due to being related or just being young. But it’s really sad to watch.

Honestly, they’re lucky they get regulars because the owner is rude and she needs to be more kind to people of colour. During a visit of mine, there was patron who had a slight accent, she made such them feel so uncomfortable and rushed them for asking questions- clearly they were new/visiting for the first time and just were asking what the pizza slice options were.

Just because port credit is predominantly white and of the upper echelons of Mississauga doesn’t mean you can’t carry through the kindness to people that are not regulars of the community.

Maybe don’t work Saturdays if you can’t control the stress of crowd (merely over 4 people lol) and have more kindness in your tone of voice when you delegate to...

I like the place, it has a very decent homey feeling. The lady selling the produce is also very nice and friendly. Prices for goods are ridiculously cheap and taste quite decently. I think the only reason why I am giving three stars is due to what I remember the store to be vs what it is now. Back in 2006(I think that was the date), the store was the best thing on this side of lakeshore. It was clean, the saleslady was extremely cheery, and everything sold (especially the cakes) tasted like a slice of heaven. Fast forward twelve years and store is a little bit dimmer and dirtier, the saleslady just a tad bit more cynical and less friendly (she still is friendly, just not as much), and while prices on their products haven't changed, the quality has definitely diminished. I now only visit to sometimes get strudels and that's it. I can't recommend cakes there for sure, and the bread is just mediocre. I highly advice to visit the place however and form your own opinion. It is an amazing little store, just not as great as it...
