I was there on May-27-2021 around 3.56pm order#742 and had ordered a coffee mocha, I entered the store and thought of ordering from their cashier point itself, I waited for sometime but there was nobody at their register (they just turn their backs towards the store front and work and don’t even bother to greet the customer). Then I just ordered from their kiosk a coffee mocha, as soon as I set up the order my order number appeared on their monitor, and it came in order processing, I saw the attendant take the cup towards their machine and then she went somewhere back and did not come back, in the mean time the order processing went away and the attendant completely forgot about my order, I waited for over 8 minutes and then another attendant came and asked me what he could do, I showed him my receipt, he looked at it and he went back and just kept doing other stuff instead of giving me my order, then the previous attendant came in and started doing other orders, and when all were done she asked me what was I waiting for, this time I showed her my receipt but I made sure she can read only the order number, she asked me to show her the full receipt where she could read the order details (because she was the one who cleared the order number but never gave the actual order to me), but I told her if there is a order number then it should be in their system and that she should check her system and give my order and find out what happened to the order, this made her nervous because she realized it was her mistake but instead of just acknowledging the fact, she bluntly told me that she will not give me my order and once again just scrambled at the back and sent someone who asked me what was the matter, this time I asked her was she the manager, she pondered for a second and said yes, I then explained to her what happened, so instead of acknowledging what had happened she just picked the cup which was filled, left open and probably gone cold for over 10 minutes now, put a lid over it and was about to give it me at that point I said, you call yourself a McDonalds restaurant manager and are giving me something like that, and told her you don’t look like and act like to manager to me, now she went and got some other attendant to fill a new cup and give it to me, and when he asked their colleagues who the coffee was for, the first attendant replied from the back “its just somebody”. I've been going here for years and have constantly overlooked minor inconveniences over the years like certain toppings not being added to my order after I specified it but today broke the camels back.
Just today I ordered a double quarter pound maple burger and to my surprise only found 1 patty in my sandwich rather than 2. That's fine, mistakes happen so I decided to head back to the counter to let them know of their mistake so they could fix it.
When the employee went to go confirm with their manager on how to proceed, I could clearly hear them saying just to tell me that it the double burger only comes with a single patty. I couldn't believe what I was hearing and was shocked when the employee came back, looked me dead in the eye and lied to my face saying the single patty was correct (even though you can clearly see in the menu that you are paying an additional 2 dollars for an extra patty and slice of cheese) and was promptly turned away.
For anyone who had the patience to read this review, do not support this franchise. Its management lies to and cheats customers of their hard earned money just because it's convenient to correct their mistakes in order to provide you with the food you actually ordered.
If you are in the area looking for fast food I suggest you go one block north to the burger king (at Hurontario and Matheson) instead. If you must eat McDonalds I highly recommend you go to another location; a location such as this where you are lied to so blatantly does not deserve a...
Read moreHorrible service, i had asked for a small coffee mocha with whipped cream and milk and i got some other coffee, when i asked them about it they told me my coffee would cost more which was fine with me but then the replacement took forever with the manager being called even after she committed to having it replaced immediately, i was made to wait forever, my new order number showed up on their screen and then disappeared automatically without serving my coffee, i had to call the staff again to give me my order and only then did i get my coffee. I had come with two young children and it was very inconvenient for me. They even took away my bill for the original order which had many other items in it and i generally keep all my receipts for record and tax filing purposes, and when i asked them for it back, i was made to wait forever again as they could not find it and then the cash counter was locked untill they served the next customer. Only on my insisting and wasting my valuable time there did i get my receipt. I put this feedback in their survey and asked for a call back but i did not get a call back either, just the bribe of a special offer coupon which was not good enough to use either! I have faced this issue in their Drive Thru service as well as i was about to be served someone elses full meal order when all i asked for was a coffee, when i asked for a straw, the staff looked at me for sometime and asked me twice "like a straw straw?" and i said yes and then i was blessed with a straw!
