I'm only giving this franchise 2 stars because the food is good. The customer service in that McDonald's franchise is really bad... Their behavior towards customers is rude and unwelcoming!
Let me tell you my story, it is Saturday today, I came around last Thursday and I ordered a double big Mac, free fries and some coffee through the drive through (I had to pay for the fries cuz the guy didn't know how to scan and collect the rewards, or I couldn't collect the reward, I can't remember which one... and he thought that we can only scan one thing, even tho we scan Both every single time, but for some reason this franchise has a problem with it... he didn't even bother to try or ask someone... And its not the first time that this has happened, but again this is the franchise's issue cuz clearly their training isn't good enough). Anyways, I ordered my double big Mac with lettuce and onions ONLY, so when I got home and I was about to eat my burger I opened it and saw that it's full of sauce and cheese, like really? It's not that hard! I called them and I talked to one of the managers ("the lady manager") she was really nice and offered me a free burger the next time I'm around..., which you know what, I will give this franchise 3 start now because some of them are good. One week later on Saturday (today) I went to that McDonald's and I was pretty excited to get my CORRECT order, until it was time to ask for my burger, I walked in and I spoke to one of the employees about my issue, then she called the manager, and the manager himself was the rudest of them all [the guy manager, black, almost no hair, and he wears glasses. I hope you're reading this :)] He walked up to me and was like "what", I told him that "I came around last week and I got the wrong order, so I called and the manager and she told me to come back and take the correct order", and then he was like "no I am manager, you come here before I see you before", and I was like what? Who is this guy fam, (Btw I haven't even went inside that franchise before this time lol, other times were all drive through) I showed him my receipts and told him "well go talk to the lady manager because I have spoken to her and she knows my name and number cuz she took it in-order to identify me..." And then he was like "what what lady manager we have many lady managers" And then another employee told him that yes I am right and the lady manager wrote my name down to give me my correct order or something... So then he flipped out and was like "NEXT TIME YOU TAKE PICTURE, YOU COME BACK SAME DAY YOU TAKE PICTURE OR SOMETHING" so I told him "I asked the other manager if I should take a pic to show her the incorrect order and she said that its okay, she has my name and number so I can come around and take my correct order" (true)
So then he kept repeating himself, "you come before I see before next time I dont give you or you take picture and come same day..." till my burger was ready. He gave me my burger and was like "check it before you leave", turned around and left, so I checked it and it was how I ordered it so I took it and continued on with my life". He was rude and unhappy. Its funny how he's a manager and he doesn't know how to manage... its your job to satisfy your customers, and give them what they've ordered, just like what the lady manager did.
The moral of the story is, don't be rude to your customers and give them what they deserve, chill out you dont have to jump into conclusions and assume that "I see you before you come here before"... he could've asked for my name and number to identify that I am the right person who's simply asking for a lil burger which I payed for. (why would I try to scam McDonald's for a burger...lol), if you don't like to give customers their rights and what they have paid for, maybe you should look for another job, or Train your employees better. (It's called customer relations, and employee training and development).
Btw the free burger was good, so thanks for the 10-15 minutes that you've wasted...
Read moreIf there’s a zero I would definitely go for it. I’m not much of a complainer and tolerate food places even with horrible customer services but serves good food. But, yesterday had been the worst and it’s quite a story to tell. I’m a regular coffee drinker and usually orders XL black coffee at Tim Hortons at Eglinton and Hurontario location every morning. However, yesterday September 8th, 2018 my boyfriend drove me to work at CVH and decided to stop by at Mcdonalds (mavis&eglinton) location. I went inside and ordered my usual XL black coffee, medium double2x (for my bf) and 2 danishes. Their touch interface ordering system was out of paper so it didn’t print my receipt and tried to tell the cashier and instructed me to press “no” so I can see my order number at the screen but it was a no go. Then, I went back to the order pick up station and spoke with a another girl about not getting a receipt plus I didn’t get the order number. Anyhow, I told her specifically what my order was and she grabbed 2 danishes and the already prepared 2 coffees on the tray that was on the table near the cashier who prepared it. I went back to car and tried to put the XL coffee into the car coffee holder but a horrible thing happened. Half of the extremely hot coffee spilled on my lap since the cup was very soft and squishy plus the lid was too loose. I ended up with first borderline second degree burn on my anterior left leg and a bruises from the blood vessels that popped due to the extreme exposure to hot coffee. Luckily, I was wearing a cotton trousers and absorbed some of the coffee and made the incident less worse. My boyfriend immediately grabbed the cup and ran inside but ended up spilling some of it on his hand and got burned a bit. He showed to the manager that time and they rushed outside to check on me. She was kind of nice, she gave me some ice and apologized for what happened. She led me inside the store and told everyone to close the lid properly. Also, she tried giving me a refund of my order but I was too upset and told her I don’t need it no more. My skin got burned, I was drenched in coffee that wherever I sat it leaves a wet mark or a stain from the coffee. She took my number and informed me that the “general manager” will call me since her shift starts at 10am and check in as to how am I doing. I believed her, we went to the walk-in clinic nearby to get urgent burn care and the Dr. treated my burns with flamazine to avoid scarring. I was really late for work but I still went to do some task. Imagine myself limping and with extreme pain that day. I waited and waited for someone to call and check in on me but truthfully, they NEVER CARED! I’ll be posting the photos here so everyone we’ll know how horrible their customer service and didn’t care. Partly, I know for myself I have my own share of fault since I wasn’t careful and didn’t check thoroughly the cup or lid but.. I’ve been drinking coffee every freakin’ morning and it’s like a memory muscle that you lift the coffee cup and drinks your morning dose of caffeine and not being weird of checking the cup every single time. I hope this review would help others to be more careful and check their orders from this location since they don’t really care about CUSTOMERS SAFETY!! This location shouldn’t operate for the sake of people’s safety. Who know’s what worse could have happen to...
Read moreDear McDonald's Customer Service,
I am writing to express my disappointment and frustration with my experience at your drive-thru service yesterday. I visited your location with my family and ordered three ice cream cones and a medium double-double coffee. At the payment window, my daughter tapped her credit card, and the staff member confirmed that we could proceed to the next window for pickup.
However, when we arrived at the pickup window, we were told that our payment hadn't gone through and were asked to pay again. We trusted the staff and didn't check our bank app at the time. Unfortunately, when we arrived home, my wife discovered that we had been charged twice for the same order, with different amounts.
This is unacceptable and feels like a kind of theft. I request that you investigate this incident, correct the error, and refund the extra charge. I hope that you will take steps to ensure that your drive-thru service is accurate and secure to prevent similar incidents in the future.
