I was excited to visit this Peruvian restaurant after seeing the buzz on TT. First upon arriving no one greeted us, we stood there for a good 7 minutes and saw 3 tables full (rest empty); one that had close to 10-15 people staring at us. Little did I know the people staring at us as they ate were the employees/ managers with their families. We approached the one server and ask him if we could seat, since no one cared we were waiting. The poor young waiter was trying to serve the few tables all by himself and he seemed overwhelmed. I asked for the ceviche and beef empanadas and orange juice. I ask for their menu special of “3 entrees” (chaufa, tallarin verde and aji de gallina) Upon asking the waiter said there is no noodles. He never mentioned that the special was not available, neither explained how it worked despite I showed him from their menu the special of 3 which I seen on TT. So I asked about other items in the menu and if he could give us some suggestions. As he told me the suggestion I didn’t know he was adding it to the bill. I was confused and clearly he was confused as I thought he added 3 dishes to the special of 3 in one plate which literally looks like 3 entrĂ©es in one plate. But he added them as separate individual dishes. Clearly he added 2 of each plate. He never repeated or confirmed the order, neither he mentioned there is no special being served that night. After I seen the same person who was in the big table who were staring at us when we came in was in fact a manager. He sat other people after us immediately and served them drinks right away while we waited and didn’t get our drinks until later. When the manager came to offer drinks and ask about what we would like to order. I mentioned to him we were being served by the young waiter. The manager came back confused asking me what I ordered. I explained to him again while pointing at the menu in Spanish what I wanted (the special of 3) in the manager tells me he thought I was asking separate dishes and the special was not available and the young waiter put multiple separate orders including food I never order but he wrote it down while suggesting these dishes. Anyways I had ceviche which was delicious and beef empanadas. Their sauces were really good too. The only items I would recommend. The aji de pollo was good, very creamy but el lomo saltado con papas felt short. The beef was chewy and didn’t have much flavour but the fries were crispy and good. I really wanted to enjoy this place as I love Peruvian food, but it was overshadowed by the bad dining experience. The lack of communication between the manager and the staff. Two people serving the same table and not communicating between them, not confirming the order with the customers, not greeting the customer upon arrival but instead just stare at them, not going over with the customer with what is not available including their specials. Not even apologizing for the confusion. I hope they can work better on the service, as the food is really good, specially the ceviche.

This was the first time my friends and I tried Peruvian food. I had previewed the menu before we got there but was still undecided what to try. I only knew I wanted to try the beef heart appetizer (Anticucho $17). The server was very friendly and suggested a few things. We ordered a whole roast chicken (Pollo a la Braza $51), ceviche (Ceviche MilRoast $29) and for drinks Pisco Sours (it reminded us of a margarita). While we were waiting I noticed the other diners looked like they were from South America so I took that as a good sign the food would be authentic. The grilled beef heart skewers came first and it was good and had a deep beefy flavour. A couple of my friends said it had a slight liver taste, which I didn’t detect but they still enjoyed it. The chicken was moist and the spices it was marinated with was really tasty. The chicken came with a green salad, some tasty sauces and we substituted the fries for rice. One of my friends tried to ask what was in the marinade but the server smiled and said he couldn’t say. We ordered the ceviche with medium spice and it was flavourful, citrusy and had quite a kick from the bits of red spicy pepper. Everything we had was quite good-tasting. The four of us were quite full and we even had leftovers to take home. The restaurant is bright and airy with lots of seating. It’s located on the end of Erin Mills Centre plaza towards the back and has plenty of parking.

We had our lunch over there, and we started with anticuchos and ceviche carretillero (soo delicious and perfect balance sour and spice). The food was fresh, delicious, and tasty, we asked for Pollo a la Brasa and mostrito and let me tell you the chaufa was AMAZING DELICIOUS, unique taste and flavor (Peruvian mix) and the fries was fresh, and complement with chicha Morada and Inka cola, many times we went to different peruvian restaurants with great reviews but we were disappointed because the taste wasn't good and we were looking for real Peruvian food like made in Peru and finally we got it over here, we don't have to drive anymore to Montreal to get quality and tasty. I highly recommend 👌 you won't be disappointed. It's the perfect place to try Peruvian food. You will enjoy it so much, and we are coming back to try other plates. The restaurant is very nice, and clean has free plenty of parking spots and easy access with wheelchair or stroller. Just recommend making a reservation on special dates, because the mothers' day was full and we have to come back to get a table, Pd: The hot sauce is the most delicious 😋

Service is absolutely horrible. We have been here a few times because it's the closest place to get Peruvian food. If you're in the Mississauga area, go to El Inca in Burlington... a little further but 10/10 never misses.

Every single time we have been here, its unorganized with staff. The servers talk casually behind the counter while people are waiting on them. The owner (wife) is unkind looking and she allows and encourages that behaviour of the servers.

They have servers who dont speak spanish or even know how to read the menu. She looks at me like I have 3 heads when I order my dish and I have to point at the name on the menu.

Food takes 45-1 hour to come out. The last 2 times Ive been there (out of 4 or 5 times total), the wait is long and appetizers are forgotten.

Today we ordered our mains with a cesar salad to start. After waiting 45 minutes, my dad got his dish. After another 20 minutes, me and my mom were served. We followed up three times for my husbands food in which the server acted dumb-founded as if it was not her issue. We followed up on the salad and she went to check on it - its lettuce and croutons, for petes sake. She came out asking us if it was supposed to be with or without chicken. And told us the price difference. We cancelled the salad and pressed for my husbands food as it had been 45 mins since my dad received his order. We were outraged.

Setting the scene as well - we had a 5:30 reservation. When we arrived the place was empty with the exception of 1 booth with 4 people and a larger party (about 10 people) who had already ordered.

People who walked in after us got their food first.

Finally, my husband got his plate. AFTER they brought the wrong dish out.

The girl who took our order never came back to apologize for the error with the salad OR the long wait. She sent the other girl who we know is very new to take the heat.

NO TIP. WILL NEVER RETURN.

GO TO EL INCA - friendlier, cleaner, better tasting food, THE BEST SERVICE and professional.

Also the squid in my rice dish was RAW. But to not complain, it was eaten around. We are not difficult people.

Also, hire better staff for the love of god. I have a food blog with 4.5k followers & I am never advising anyone to come eat here until there are real changes both infront & in the kitchen. Slow, sloppy,...

Warning - if you are expecting to actually eat at this place for lunch, go somewhere else. This was our experience this past Sunday. On the recommendation of our family, my husband and I plus our 5 year old arrived right for opening at 12:35 and with a few tables already occupied we were seated pretty quickly. The experience worsened from there.

It took a while to get water, and other drinks at the table plus has to request plates, ice. But we ordered quickly and were ready to wait a little. We were advised the roasted chicken (the whole reason we ame to the restaurant) would be about 15 min longer but the apps and kids meal will be out quickly.

50 minutes later (after multiple attempts to check status) the cook came out of the kitchen to advise that they were changing the oil (??) and just discovered they didn’t have the hot dogs for my son’s meal. We were assured the replacement (chicken nuggets) will be out shortly.

30 min later we finally got the appetizer (4 tequeños for $14). The kids meal and chicken were now where near ready.

Finally, the nuggets came out. They were extremely spicy with black pepper, completely inappropriate for a kids meal. My son picked at the fries (this is almost 2pm having not eaten anything until then). We were advised the chicken will take 15 min more. At that point we had enough, and said we were leaving. The manager was nowhere on site but the wait staff called them and was authorized to discount the nuggets. We paid for our app and a drink and left. It was the most disappointing and horrible experience dining out. Nothing else was done to help us feel better, as if it was a completely normal experience. Oh, and as we were leaving 2 chickens came out to a table that was sat after us. There is something incredibly wrong with the operations of this place. We won’t be...
