DO NOT go here unless you want your 80 year old grandma to be treated like less than human by the receptionists.
My grandma had an appointment with Dr. Bedi that was booked a couple months ago. Upon booking her appointment with the receptionist, she asked how long she should expect to be waiting because she needed to book her ride home with TransHelp since I wasn’t able to drive her due to the fact that I’m also a healthcare professional working full time. The receptionist told my grandma it will take 1-2 hours so my grandma booked her ride home with TransHelp 2.5 hours later in case the appointment ran later (it’s not uncommon for appointments to run late and my grandma was being considerate of the driver’s time). Fortunately, her appointment was finished within only 20 minutes which she greatly appreciated.
However, my grandma asked the receptionist if she could wait for her TransHelp ride in the office’s waiting room and the receptionist said no and she will need to leave because they’re busy. There were 1-2 patients waiting the entire time with MANY empty chairs but the receptionist refused to let her sit in an ALREADY EMPTY CHAIR. My grandma didn’t want to leave the building because it was pouring rain and cold for a summer day. She ended up waiting in the building’s lobby but since there were no chairs, she sat on the stairs for just over an hour until she went back up to the doctor’s office and saw there were no patients waiting. She asked the receptionist if she could sit on a normal chair because she was feeling uncomfortable sitting on the stairs and the receptionist refused and said they’re closed. Thankfully, another receptionist said she could wait in one of the chairs but if it got busy she’d have to leave — from the time she went back up to the time her TransHelp ride picked her up, it was not busy at all and there were several empty chairs.
I’m disgusted by the way these people treated my grandma. The lack of empathy and consideration is gross and this type of behaviour and treatment should not be in healthcare. I’ll make sure my grandma is...
Read moreEntering this clinic for the first time. Was very pleasant. The girl at the front desk was very nice. The girl who did my eye exams was very nice. The gentleman who did my eye check was very pleasant. The wait time was not long at all. When the doctor first came into the room, she seemed nice so I was optimistic. We started discussing my situation regarding my extremely large Chalazion . That’s basically overtaking my eyelid and is clearly infected. I mentioned to her that this is not the first time that I’ve had these. She proceeded to tell me that I could do the surgery to drain it out and that she would probably have to make an incision in the eyelid in which I would need stitches. Which I was a little shocked because that’s never happened to me before. And I’ve had Chalazion Of this size and shape before. When I started questioning that. And the medication that I would have to take. She quickly became very stuck up and snotty. And being a person that suffers from mental health and depression and anxiety. Instead of taking the time and sitting down and explaining to me properly, what she was going to do exactly and then downtime and all of the above. She quickly became rude when I couldn’t tell her how many milligrams of a certain medication that I take since I take so many meds, not to mention she had the medication on file that my doctor had sent her. Not warm, not kind just ran out of the room. Didn’t tell me how much it was gonna cost. Had she made me feel comfortable and actually taking the time to sit down and explain to me exactly What was going to happen in a nice kind manner maybe I would’ve considered spending almost $800 which I have never paid to get a Chalazion removed. She’s just really the type of person Mrs. I know it all. Perhaps she wanted to make the incision to put in stitches in order to charge me more. She just gave the vibe of don’t have time for you. You decide you either. Continue taking antibiotics or do the surgery and then walked out. That is so rude and disgusting. And completely and total unprofessional. She needs to get off...
Read moreThere is a lack of proper business management at this clinic. Standard communication practices, due diligence and accountability all seem to elude them. They would rather lay blame to the patients and hospital, than to work to improve their practice. I am sure there are other patients that will agree and disagree with this review, and i can only speak to the experience my family and i had at the clinic.
I will not bore you with the details. The short story is that the male Manager/physician lacks proper hearing and understanding of situations when explained by patients. They would rather place blame and reiterate, with little to no correlation to what was explained by the patient, their office policy and practices. His blatant disregard for the patient's time and efforts is only overshadowed by his lack of business acumen.
The office and their staff were incredibly hard to communicate with (especially with the little amount of communication they can muster) in person and remotely. The phone is rarely answered, emails were missed and yet the patients are to blame regarding outstanding documents/information from other clinics. They will then blame it on Hospital policy if all else fails.
I have seen other reviews that echo these sentiments. The level of customer service needs a monumental improvement. This review has no bearing on their medical ability, primarily because we cannot comment on services that we did not receive. we were asked to sign a document that the Hospital requires to be wet signed in person. The final outcome was needing to take time off work to bring our young daughter for a scheduled visit, simply to be told they have not received documents and to sign a single document. She received no medical related services and we left disgruntled and disappointed with the entire experience. This experience with the clinic has been below acceptable and i doubt that they will fix the issues. The bar was...
