This specific location has the HORRIBLE customer service!
I came to this place at 1:12 a.m (not during the busy hours) and I placed an order of two shakes. The store at this hour was almost empty. No uber drivers were waiting at the counter or anything.
5-6 minutes after I placed my order, a group of people placed an order with 3 burgers and a shake. how did I know? because they got their simple easy to make burgers first and my order which is the most complex order in entire Canada that only handful people can make in GC burgers took more than 30 minutes to prepare.
I saw the process and my god! I'm still awestruck on how she made my shake. it was such a tedious and extremely tricky to make. She had to take three scoops of ice-cream ( I guess she was making the ice-cream inside that freezer that she had beside the counter) and then travel a lot of distance to bring the milk (I think she took an uber to bring the milk). she then added that milk to that ice-cream and had to mix it on a machine.
I guess you can understand now that why my order took 30 minutes to make it at 01:12 a.m. Since shakes are the most complicated item in their menu and burgers are meh!!! its a piece of cake for them.
I also strongly believe that people who work here consider the people as customers if they order burger and fries and if you order shakes, then be ready to wait for atleast 30 minutes for that shake to arrive?
is this your hospitality? is this how you treat your customers? What pissed me off was the person who made my drink. She was not at all interested in making it and once she made the drink, she just threw them aside and didn't even bother to check who ordered it. What kind of treatment is this? The guy from the burger section checked the monitor and then gave it to me. I'm still puzzled on how you guys work or process. The people with long order who came after me are getting served first and I'm still waiting. NO, the icecream was not over and NO the milk was not over either. I watched the entire process and she had all the resources.
Its just that she was lazy and was not at all interested in making the orders.
Didn't expect this kind of pathetic service. Uploaded the photo of the location at the time this was ordered to prove that this was not happened...
Read moreI’m very picky about my burgers, and these were honestly quite good. I had ordered the double cheese stack. I loved the seasoning on the patty, and they most definitely did not over stuff the burger, which made it just the right size to eat (this is a plus!). However, the patty was overcooked, perhaps in a bid to get it to be crispy on the outside, and the seasoning wasn’t really present in the centre of the patty - this made the burger really delicious around the outer edges, but middling at best in the centre.
I was quite surprised to get a burger with 4 buns - bun - cheese - bun (hence cheese stack) on each end of the burger, and even more surprisingly, it didn’t feel like too much carbs.
Finally, I think the sauce can use a bit of work. The flavour drop off between the edge and centre is so significant that the sauce really needs to pick up the slack here, and it does not.
For fries, I got the Cajun fries. It was extremely light and airy in the middle, and they’re ever so slightly thicker than McDonald’s cut - I don’t really enjoy airy fries, but this might be your cup of tea. Plenty of Cajun flavouring, but I think a little bit more salt would do it well.
I think price for value is quite alright. Probably won’t go out of the way to visit again, but I think it’s definitely worth dropping by at least once if you’re a burger enthusiast.
For service, I was debating between 2 and 3 stars. On one hand, it was impossible to figure out if our order was ready, and they’d probably benefit from some kind of electronic sign at the very least, and the cashier really didn’t seem like they want to be there (tbf, I get it lol). Also really weird that they have the single cashier take phone orders as well, so I just stood there waiting for a good 5-10 minutes. Now on the other hand, they have a very eager and dedicated employee who appears to only be tasked with cleaning tables as soon as you leave - which is amazing. The tables and area were all very clean, so...
