Worst service i ever had in Canada The owner should look into it, how this restaurant is losing customers, we were a regular customer till today but not anymore. Today, we had bad experiences at this location. We were 8 people, so they combined 2 tables. One table was dirty, actually they didn't clean that table before giving us, then they didn't give us enough cutlery so one of my friend call her twice to ask for more cutlery and place our appetizers, we got our appetizers but still we was waiting for the cutlery so we ask for the cutlery again but we didn't receive anything till 5 minutes so i went to the desk and get the cutlery from there and you can have a look how we got cutlery, then we got our 5 appetizer out of 7, so i ask for other 2 and she said it's coming we said okay and order our main course. They picked up all dirty dishes and replaced just 2 dish, so we had just 2 clean dishes on our table which is for 8 people so we ask for other dishes, she said yes i am bringing it, first we was waiting for our 2 appetizers and now dishes come in list, we didn't get any of those yet and they bring our main course curry first without bread and dishes. Bread, we already ordered with the curry. I don't understand where they put their commonsense, guy came to us and ask how's the food like, literally men,you didn't give us dishes eat, you didn't give us bread to eat and your are asking how is the test. Then she realized that she forgot the plates and bread, so she brought the plates, but the plates was too dirty. More than half of the plates were dirty. So after everything we decided not to eat there and take all our food at home. We asked for 2 remaining appetizers, and they said we didn't make that yet. Literally we ask for that appetizer more than 4 times, and he said it's read i am bringing it So if you are thinking of try this restaurant, think twice before you give it a shot and...
Read moreRecently opened under new ownership in Mississauga, Riyasat Indian Restaurant is a hidden gem that needs to be discovered. The food is prepared fresh and made-to-order. The flavours are rich and bold, nuanced by fine herbs and spices that sweep across the palate to enrich the taste experience. From our experience, we have to say that this is definitely not the same-old - same-old Indian food one has become accustomed to in the region. We were definitely impressed by the partners that came out to first offer us a sample of the spice level before serving us our order and then secondly have the chef come out to hear any feedback we had to offer regarding our overall satisfaction. It is both refreshing and wonderful to see that a restaurant actually cares about its guests and takes a customer-first approach in their operation. Excellent !!!
As for the cons, though quite detailed which at times can be a good thing, the menu can be a lot to read for guests that may not be completely familiar with Indian food. Shorter descriptions and colour pictures would go a long way to make the selection process easier. Though the prices are somewhat reasonable, value for the money with respect to the quantity of food received could be improved. The cost of rice definitely needs to be cut in half. The restaurant is very well kept and clean, yet could use more Indian themed decor to create a warmer and more inviting ambience.
Overall, Riyasat Indian Restaurant is a hidden gem. Excellent food quality and taste matched by Excellent...
Read moreLast Saturday, my wife and I along with a family friend decided to go out for lunch, but the condition was “minimal commute”. So we decided to go to Riyasat (Central Parkway-Mississauga). And was that a good choice? It’s a small cozy restaurant with a pleasant ambiance that added to the enjoyment of the meal. Our server was patient, attentive, and always with a smile. The three of us completely forgot to get her name, our apologies. For the starters we ordered the Tandoori Chicken Momos & Lucknowi Chicken Buraah. Both the dishes were outstanding. The marinades were perfectly done with very suttle flavors and no coloring. The chicken pieces were very tender and juicy and each bite had the right amount of flavoring. For the main course we went for the Lachha Parantha, Dum Murgh Kali Mirch, and Tawe ka Latpata Paneer. My wife is a little touchy about the spice level. So we asked our server about it and she assured us that it would be medium. A few minutes later she brings us a sampler of the curry. This is where we gave them a 5 for service. EXCELLENT. KEEP IT UP. The Dum Murgh Kali Mirch was outstanding. The Lachha Parantha was crisp, well muddled and tasteful and what we liked was it was made from wheat. The flavors of the Tawe ka Latpata Paneer were mild and tasteful. Overall an excellent experience. Keep it up guys & gals. We are definitely coming again and again. Three cheers...
