Souvlaki Hut — Restaurant in Mississauga

In 2 days I made 2 orders. The yesterday's one we asked over the phone for w souvlaki Chicken and souvlaki beef, however while placing the order the order taker asked if we want Gyro but we said no! We want beef. We picked up the order and we found out when we reached back home that we had instead of beef a Gyro wrap! A mistake but too late to complain. Leave it Today,my son placed order for me and him and I told him make sure they do not get us Gyro, tell them we want beef. He was next to me and I heard the conversation he had with order taker repeating "no, we do not want Gyro, we want beef! Ok?" 15 min later my kid showed up with the order. We opened the wrap and guess what? It's Gyro Again!!!!!!!! I went myself and asked the order taker: -me:we placed order for beef? Would you please check my order? -the order taker:says: we do not have beef souvlaki but we have lamb souvlaki. -me:well we did not ask for gyro how comes it jumps to our order? -the order taker: now you know ! -me: how come you make assumption that we want Gyro? We did not ask for it and in case you do not sell beef souvlaki then mention it, or offer what you have on the menu but do not charge me for things I did not ask for! I sais: it's bad. And I left. We had an extremely positive experience at this location of Souvlaki Hut. We are visiting family from out of town, and to accommodate our son's dietary restrictions, we called in advance to inquire.

The lady who answered was very knowledgeable with allergens in the menu. She listed all the allergens in the items we inquired about, and provided information on other similar items.

When we arrived, the restaurant was very clean and welcoming. The same lady who answered the phone was at the cash. She was very respectful with our needs. She explained how the food will be prepared and how they will be packaged. And because there were others in the family without allergies, she packaged the food in such a way that no cross contamination was possible.

It was evident that this restaurant took allergies seriously and tries to accommodate as best as they can.

The food was dicious, reasonably priced, and the portions were fantastic.

A definitely a returning customer if we're in the area again. I highly recommend...

This place was really good! I went there for the first time yesterday and I ordered the chicken souvlaki dinner, my boyfriend had ordered the same thing and then we realized that they had the Greek fries as well, so we ended up ordering a side of Greek fries which were awesome! :)) We were then brought dessert which we did not know was included with the dinner so it semi surprised us which was good. Dessert was cinnamon sticks and they smelt so gooood lol, I'm sure if we would have started eating them right away it would have been 10x better but we were still attempting to demolish our food because we were so full but didn't want to miss out. Anyways after we were done our dinner we ended up eating the cinnamon sticks which were great regardless of it not being as hot. The place was really tidy and clean, service was excellent. I would really recommend this place...
