i would have given 1 star for the drive-thru service, however the manager of the store, Adrien, was amazing. me and my boyfriend come to this Starbucks every weekend. But today was a completely different experience. i pre-ordered my drinks (as usual) and told the girl at the drive thru that it was an order pick up for Ashley. After waiting about a minute to check if our order was ready, she said “there’s 2 orders for ashley”, me and my partner look at each other in confusion, and he says “yeah, there’s 2 drinks under the name Ashley”. THEN in such a condescending manner, she says “Ashley is a common name so… what’s in your order?”. First of all, the question she asked was not specific enough to give her the response she was looking for, and also i have no idea whats on her screen. the proper way to ask the question would be “we have 2 separate orders under the name of Ashley, can you tell me what is in your order?” we let it slide, until we came to the window where she handed us our drinks. my partner was supposed to have cinnamon in his chai tea latte, he took a look through the sipping hole and noticed there wasn’t any. perhaps there was but it wasn’t enough to notice so we politely asked for more. then she, in the loudest and most fake voice, said “we put it in there but we’ll put more for you”. me and my boyfriend looked at each other and were in disbelief that she yelled like that. when we received the drink, i looked at her through the passenger seat, and said “thank you so much! ” in the same kind of manner as she did (except i smiled), and her expression was just a poker face and turned away and closed the window. so she definitely knew the way she was talking. In every interaction, her goal was to “correct” us or to teach us some kind of lesson or to make herself more superior? she was just incredibly rude in every way. both my boyfriend and i worked in the food and retail industry for 10 years now, and we know what is good and bad customer service. we parked the car, my boyfriend went in to speak with the manager and the girl who was at fault kept looking and turning away several times at my boyfriend, so she knew exactly the way she was acting. the manager of the store was very sincere and apologized and continuously offered a refund/pastry/food etc. we weren’t looking for any kind of compensation, but just to notify the manager of her behaviour. we have both came to this location since it opened, at least 5 years ago, more than 100 times, it was always a good or normal experience, so the fact that i’m writing my first review after so many years, tells you of the “remarkable” impression...

Brand new Starbucks that has a lot of great seating. It doesnt look quite so big but inside you have 2 seating areas to enjoy your cup of coffee. I would say this ranks as one of the better Starbucks as it's bright and sunny which helps make for a better environment. There are 3 tables to sit for 4+ people in addition to many bar seatings that are comfortable and facing the windows. It is SUPER clean here so that just makes it better than most corporate coffee spots.
Drink wise, there was a bit of a mix up by the barista but they fixed it quickly and offered the wrong drink for free to try... much appreciated and I got to try the new seasonal Chestnut Praline Latte.
Chestnut Praline Latte - This is the whipped cream confection pretending to be a coffee drink... this is dessert in a cup. It is SWEET. For those who like coffee with their sugar, this would be your drink. It does have a caramel flavour which I think is the praline note. The chesnut is pretty obscured. I will admit that the coffee note came through ... pretty good for a seasonal drink 3.5/5
Chestnut Praline Chai latte - This is my drink order and I will admit that this is an interesting take on the usual chai latte I get from Starbucks. It still has the ginger kick of a chai but with the addition of the chestnut praline syrup which is a caramel note. I would probably ask for only half a pump next time as I dont need it TOO sweet. Pretty good though! 3.5/5
Service here was a tad bit slow as they were filling out the orders for drive through and they only had one guy doing the drinks while they had 3 people working the cashier. Overall, not a bad spot for a quick stop...
Read moreCome here if you want your morning to be ruined and mansplained about health and safety by someone who doesn’t care about health and safety.
I used to always go to the drive thru here, ALWAYS because I lived close-by and had my 10 lb dog in the passenger seat. The one time I decide to go in, carrying the dog for a pickup order, I get told that I can’t have the dog inside, which I understand, it won’t happen again. So the person still chooses to take my order. While I’m waiting, Adrian comes out to tell me that I can’t be inside with the dog, and the second I start to explain that it’s a one time thing, there’s snow on the road, I thought it would be quicker to go inside than drive through the snow, he breaks eye contact with me and tells me he can get the health and safety papers. I asked if he wanted me to wait outside with the dog since I already paid, and he just scoffed. Him explaining health and safety to me was really interesting, especially since he was the only one working without wearing a face mask. Health and safety, yeah right..
Drink wasn’t bad, but I will never come back here because I no longer live in this area, and I’d rather not have to interact with this...
