Turtle Jack's Courtney Park — Restaurant in Mississauga

I have been to this restaurant 2 times in the past 3 weeks, With each encounter I experience the same service and actually sat at same booth in each visit

1st off the décor and atmosphere of restaurant is great; menu is great lots of options-

My only complaint is the servers/waitresses- in both visits it seems like they were over staffed with waitresses; but funny how I had to wait almost 10 minutes before asked for drink order and then when our drinks came, we had to wait 10 more minutes to order meal- we were ready menus closed, but no one is site-

Now even during my 1st visit I tried to be give the benefit of the doubt to the waitress cause yes we all do have bad days; I was extra nice and friendly; to her to see if that would make her more open to conversation or friendly attitude didn’t work!

On my second visit; same experience with over staffed waitresses and I order buffalo chicken fingers; and somehow when it came there were all BBQ fingers; I waited almost 5-7 minutes before I gave in and ate the wrong meal; as it took almost 25-30 minutes to get to table and no waitress was around to complain to- Finally when our party was done our meal; waitress came to ask if our meal was good- I responded by saying no it was ok; and I got the wrong meal- Waitress was NOT apologetic, and questioned me as if I was wrong and I didn’t know what I ordered

I usually don’t post reviews like this, but seeing that I got the same experience 2 times in 3 weeks- I had to post this review Management need to take control of this situation! All they are doing is paying staff to l stand either near the bar area or towards the back of the restaurant to socialize! They need to be more customer focus and friendly- I think they think tips come from how short their attire is and not based on service or food!

Differently going to another location and not this...

Unfortunately, our most recent experience at this location was extremely disappointing! This spot was one of our regulars but I do not think that will continue. We hosted our company Christmas dinner here on December 16th 2022 and we were surprised at the lack of service & poor quality of food. We ordered drinks and appetizers to start. Aside from the long wait time, we had to ask for napkins and cutlery. Upon arrival, there were only a few wrapped forks/knives at the table but not enough for our party of 8. Once appetizers were finished, we waited almost one hour just to see our server again. It was like he disappeared and left the building for some time. A few of us went around asking other servers if they knew where our guy was. Finally he showed up and began to take orders for the main dinner. He saw all the empty plates, glasses/dishes that occupied most of the big table that we were sitting at and did not bother to clear them. When he was serving our main dishes, there was literally no room on the table as the dishes from the appetizers/finished drinks were still there. Again, instead of clear them, he tried to squeeze the main dishes onto the table and once he was able to do that, he left again for a while. We had to get up and speak to one of the other servers to ask if they could take the empty plates/glasses. Most of us ordered steak dinners which were either severely over-cooked or under-cooked. One steak was literally burnt on all sides, not charred but had black crust all over. A few of the ladies ordered pasta which was also not very good and therefore they did not finish the meal. This was a last minute reservation for my son's hockey team out of town for 40-50 people. I called and spoke to someone and told her that we had 40-50 people in 20-25 minutes and could they accommodate our group. I was passed on to a manager who took our details as per children to adults and time line ..if we were in a rush etc. She checked with her kitchen staff and servers and promptly said that they could accommodate our group. We arrived 20 minutes later and they had a section all ready. A group table for the 25 kids and booths for the adults. We were assigned two dedicated servers and promptly took our orders.

The staff got the kids food out ASAP and the adults came after

The food was very good across the board. There were zero complaints. The service and staff were excellent.

After several years of team dinners and lunches I must say I and the other parents were very impressed. In my personal opinion, this was the best service, food and overall experience for a large group I've had in multiple restaurants across the province in several years!
