Made reservations for 7 for our daughter's 22nd birthday. She had been here twice when it was not busy with a friend & enjoyed it. Unfortunately, this time was not a positive experience.
From the time we got there it was sadly one thing after another. First off, we were greeted and seated nicely. However, we noticed there were only 6 sets of cutlery, instead of 7. Our waitress, immediately upon first exchange, appeared stressed and anxious. We let her know it was a birthday celebration and her response was kind, however, informed us that they do not do anything. That since the new owners took over they do not feel it is necessary and that if a customer wanted dessert, then they will order it. Wonderful customer appreciation, isn't it. We had to ask 3 times for cutlery and only got it because we had to ask another kind waitress, that did not look stressed and appeared in control. And thankfully it was just in time as we started receiving our meals.
We ordered 3 appetizers. We asked for 2 to be served first, but the garlic bread with cheese we would like with our dinners as my daughter likes to dip it into her meal like the previous 2 times she came with her friend. We got our 2 appetizers, bruschetta & mozzarella sticks. Bruschetta was good. Couple of the mozzarella sticks had nothing inside of them and were okay. It took a few minutes before we all got our dinners, as they came out quite slowly and once all dinners were served, we are wondering about the garlic bread. We asked and were told it's coming. It appeared it was forgotten. When it did finally come they did it with no cheese. And then finally, by the time it did, the cheese was poorly and barely put on, and by then my daughter and the rest of us were done eating our meals. I had the spaghetti with meatballs. I could not eat the meatballs. They were tasteless. When asked at the end if everything was okay, while clearly it was not, I informed her about the tasteless meatballs that were sitting on a different plate and she advised she would let the kitchen know. Instead, we FINALLY just got a bill with nothing taken off. We did send the garlic bread back saying we no longer needed it.
What was supposed to be my daughter's birthday celebration became a negative experience. The waitress was clearly over her head and unable to handle the rush. And clearly the kitchen too. One of the people in my party ordered poutine and it was fries, gravy and shredded cheese...when was this considered poutine. The fish & chips were ordered by 2 of our guests and both felt the fish was also plain and tasteless.
Clearly these new owners do not know what customer service is, nor does this waitress. Very disappointing, especially as it was my...
Read moreI’m Italian I live in Mississauga. I’ve just come to the conclusion that there are no good Italian restaurants in Mississauga. This restaurant is named two guys from Italy. Which is completely false advertisement. It is run by a gentleman who is not Italian as the business was sold to him, but the name remains the same, which again is false advertisement. If you’re going to run a business that says two guys for Italy, then you should know Italian cuisine inside and out. So right then and there’s no authenticity. Advertised fried calamari they are store-bought calamari from a grocery store. They were absolutely disgusting. I ordered a penne ala vodka. It was completely and totally disgusting. That was like a Canadian Eastside Marios, which is not unauthentic Italian restaurant But even Eastside Marios is better than this place. Penne Were so soft that they were breaking. I shouldn’t have to tell you, the penny is not al dente you should know how to cook the Pasta. The tomato sauce tasted disgusting like it was some sort of cheap disgusting tomato sauce brand. A true Italian would know that any type of pasta should be cooked al dente. The manager tending to us, didn’t even know, or understand Italian cuisine. So why even have false advertisements. My husband and I did not eat our pastas. As they tasted very bad. We should’ve just stayed home and cooked it ourselves, but we wanted To try it out that was a big mistake. And only one pasta dish got discounted off our bill when we didn’t eat any of the pasta. So that’s another big no-no horrible customer service. The place when you walk in has a weird mouldy smell. As soon as we walked in, we should’ve just walked out, but we wanted to give the place a chance and see what it was like. We were quite skeptical, and our instincts were correct. If you’re looking for true, delicious Italian cuisine. This is not the place to go. If you want an upset stomach go...
Read moreI've been coming to this restaurant for years and every meal has been great except the last three times I've been there or with take-out. I took a friend out for dinner on August 26. I had raved to my friend about the lasonzia. Needless to say we waited a long time for the food. When it came it looked like it had been left in the oven for a longer period of time than normal. The sauce was not very good, dark in color, as it usually is, very disappointing and embarrassing. Then again on September 26 I had a client I treated for dinner. I raved about the deep dish pizza, best in town. Again we waited a long period of time for our dinner. When it arrived it was almost burnt on the bottom and the crust was well done and is normally good, but not this time, not tasting good at all. I had two pieces and didn't enjoy it or finish it, very disappointing once again and embarrassing. This client had never been to the restaurant before. The following week I called and asked to speak with the manager, and the older guy said not in can I help you, I said I would like to talk to them about two visits I've had. They took my name and said I'll have the manager call you. That person never contacted the manager because the manager never called me. The older gentleman lacks ediquette, has an attitude. I had another experience prior to this with deep dish pizza again not been cooked in the centre enough, doughy, but did not bother to complain figured it was a one time thing. When we have gone and had great food and service it was because the older woman who knows us well served us. I could have gone to Dominos for way less money and it would have been cooked properly. I've not been back since. Perhaps they had a new cook, but this is very poor customer service. If you have an attitude towards customers then you should not be...
