Was clear with our order to the server who couldn't be more than 16, bless her heart. 2 assiettes gourmand and a French toast. 2 eggs over easy. She even asked me what bread I wanted. We waited well over half an hour for our plates, patiently drinking coffee because, as 2 chefs we well understand the staff shortages at the moment. When our order arrived I was presented with oatmeal .. to which we immediately informed them was incorrect. Instead of eating in front of me, my partner waited, the food growing cold as more than 20 minutes went by, for our food to be replaced with the correct dish. He eventually had enough and told them to cancel the order. I still wanted my food and went to speak to the owner/ manager. I explained to him what happened and that I still wanted my food and that I have no idea how I was misunderstood when I'd clearly asked for eggs. He was short and clearly didn't seem like he had time to deal with this. I wanted my partner's meal heated up so we could eat together as planned I was frustrated and went outside to calm myself. When I returned and sat down the meal they brought out was literally just eggs and toast. We couldn't believe that they had once again brought out the wrong order. Speaking to the owner was extremely taxing as he was so rude to us. No apologies he insisted this is what I had ordered and when I protested he told us to get out. I have never experienced such a lack of respect in a dining experience in my life. What could have been a lovely meal was continually messed up and then blamed on the customer ruining our morning.it just goes to show how badly the service industry is hurting for competent staff, places who do not raise wages accordingly with inflation are resorting to cheap child labour to solve the staff shortages. This owner could really have checked his attitude of self-righteousness at the door of his establishment and learn how to speak to people politely in order to solve problems properly and without losing business. Read moreI am appalled by the lack of customer service and hospitality at this location. It is clear that the waiters at this location were hired in desperation of finding people to work. The man that served us was very rude and had no manners. He stressed us out while ordering, brought the wrong item and insisted we eat it, as it was difficult for the chef to remake fries. The burger portion was very small and each person had a different patty size which is ridiculous. We did not feel welcomed from the start and felt racialized by our waiter. At the end, we were very frustrated with how he was treating us. When it came to paying, he selected his own tip amount and said it was mandatory that we paid 15%. Come to find out we spoke to another waitress saying that we can choose how much we wanted to give. The waiter chose his own tip amount and said it’s included in the price. When confronted, he got flustered and starting changing the subject and said he chose the base tip amount. We’ve been to few restaurants in the area and never had issues with service but we should’ve read the previous reviews before going in. We did not want to tip because of the extremely poor and rude service. The lady waitress refunded the tip amount and apologized for the inconvenience. The waiter here needs to get training on how to treat people. Rudeness, and making people feel uncomfortable is not part of the hospitality we are paying for. As well, lying to customers just to make extra $ is ridiculous. We have never seen a waiter this incompetent. Seems like there are a lot of complaints about the wait staff here, so they should seriously do something about it so they can attract more customers. It makes sense why they are on the street begging people to come eat at their restaurant because it is “slow”. Food was not good for the price point - no seasonings like previous reviews mentioned.
