Arrived at 3:30 pm, asked for outdoor seating, was told there was none left and we could only eat indoors even though there was only 2 couples outside, some of the tables were reserved but not all as I checked every table. Indoor seating is tight. You're back to back, elbow to elbow banging chairs with other customers. The next 5 groups of customers who walked in were asked "Would you like indoor, or out door seating?" These people did not have reservations! We watched as each group decided which they'd prefer, and watched as our waiter even accommodated a large group by putting a few tables together outside for their un reserved dinner to my amazement since we were told no. The food.. yikes. FROZEN, prepackaged food. Shocking considering they're right on the water. No excuse for that on PEI. Menu is small and overpriced. Kids ordered the chicken stir fry which was a frozen, pre packaged meal that came to us within 3 minutes after our orders were taken. I ordered the "jumbo" shrimp cocktail which consisted of 5 or 6 thawed, previously frozen regular sized grocery store shrimp ring shrimp. So watery, so tasteless, so obviously came from a Sobeys shrimp ring. My mom ordered the fish bubbly , it was edible but not very good. The chowder was decent but the scallops in it were extremely rubbery. We left feeling ripped off, and not accommodated to like every other guests who walked in. The folks at the table beside us were unhappy with the continuous offering of un reserved outdoor seating as well as I assume they were told no too. Waiter was fantastic and did his job well. That's why I give this place 2 stars because he alone...

We all appreciated the flavours in our food, but the seafood was all overcooked and the food lacked a bit of "something special" given the prices of the food. We ordered oyster appetizers which came with lemon and my husband had to ask for hot sauce. They were delicious. My daughter ordered the seafood chowder which was delicious. I shared a Caesar salad with my youngest. The dressing was likely housemade, but the bagged bacon bits and bagged parm were super disappointing for the $14 price point.

My husband ordered the linguini. Other than the overcooked seafood, it was delicious and the sauce was well-seasoned. I ordered the cioppini which had good flavour in the broth (although I suspect it was thinned out pasta sauce) but again, the seafood was overcooked, and almost all of my mussels had sand in them. My oldest ordered the seafood bubble bake which she loved, except for the rice pilaf which perplexingly had raw veggies mixed into it. Her other side was uninspired steamed carrots, turnips or parsnips, and broccoli. Our kids had well-priced meals of pan-fried haddock with mashed potatoes and steamed veggies, and a bowl of penne in tomato sauce (I think this was the base for the cioppini sauce).

It was a cozy atmosphere and service was very friendly. It just seems like maybe nothing has been changed or updated in decor or menu in decades. Seafood servings were very generous. We were just expecting a much more elevated experience...

Honestly this was such a disappointment. The only reason this isn't a 1 star review is because the food tasted ok. Arrived at 1:30pm and asked for some bread (every table was getting it right when they sat down) multiple times and didn't receive it until halfway through our meal. Once we ordered it took over 45 minutes to get food to our table!! We were just sitting there with a bottle of wine and nothing else (bread didn't come until after our meals had arrived). Once the food did come out, another disappointment because of how small the portions were. I can't believe I paid $20 for a lobster roll that was that small when literally everywhere else around it would have sold the same size for $14. The hot food that my company ordered (haddock burger, prime rib burger) tasted like they were microwaved but at least the seasonings were ok. The burger meat was definitely not high quality. I feel like people give this place high reviews just because they're in such a good mood from being on vacation and lower their standards. It was rated 4.3 when I showed up and I didn't get anywhere near a...

Location, is excellent close to the water, enough free parking, decoration and layout. I liked the decoration as it took me back to history. Colours are excellent. The layout need upgrade. The restaurant is small size and tables are close to one another. It was odd to see the chairs are different, they are not the same.however I found it funny and lovely, as I felt I am a guest not in restaurant. Out side seats were nice as well. Cleanliness, the cleaning within expectations. The table was organized well Service, was nice and friendly, although we went late night, but still employee or the owner are respectful and welcoming. The only issue I had, it took them longer time to seated us. Food preparation was within expectations, I liked my order it was tasty and delicious. Prices, we ordered seafood and prices within expectations. Conclusion, I see if I go to PEI, I am positive that I will like to go their again.

Excellent food and ambiance. The first waitress we saw was a bit standoffish and I wasn’t sure if we would be welcome, but the one who actually served us was lovely. It’s a pricey location but with excellent food. We had the lobster roll and chowder soup combo. It was Devine. Not too salty. There was a good amount of lobster and the chowder had a good amount of fish. We also had fresh rolls that came with that were melt in your mouth good. The presentation was appetizing. The service was a nice compromise between attentive and allowing us to chat.

Quintessential maritime dining experience. Far beyond my expectations just grabbing lunch on a Tuesday; which tells me it’s likely up to this standard every time. Waitress with glasses; (forgive me not knowing her name), is by far the best of any restaurant I’ve eaten at. Truly a pleasure, extremely prompt and aware. I gave compliments on the red curry main dish. Can recommend it confidently. (See photos below.) 3 hours from home to this restaurant… would do it again in a heartbeat.
