Algrillades — Restaurant in Montreal

First time going to this place first glance was a mess. The tables were dirty with a lot of left over food. Only 1 cashier/server and one chef. Service and food took a bit longer. The calamari was good. The salad was plain no sauce or dressing. The steak I asked for medium rare, it was over cooked which was very hard to eat. The rice and sardines was good. The chicken and beef skewers would have been good, but it was a turn off having to taste lamb which I’m not a fan of. Not sure of they don’t clean the grills or if they put all the meats in the same containers...

I went there after a very good friend recommended it for fish and chips..Ok so I decided to go with my wife for lunch…a bit far from where I live in the west end but honestly a trip well worth the time. My wife ordered the fish & chips and I ordered the lamb chops.. What we got was incredible. The fish & chips were excellent, so my wife told me and plentiful. The batter was light & crispy, my lamb chops were excellently broiled and plentiful & delicious, probably the best I’ve eaten anywhere. I could not believe the bill….Inexpensive…..You’ve...

I had a great experience overall! The service was really good and the staff were super friendly. I loved the meat—it was perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The salad was fresh and delicious, definitely one of my favorite parts of the meal. The rice was okay, nothing special. The chicken, unfortunately, was a bit too dry for my taste.

That said, their prices are very reasonable for what you get. I’d definitely go back to try a few...
