Barraca Rhumerie — Restaurant in Montreal

The only reason I'm giving any points here is thanks to one waiter from India💐, who was sincerely attentive and very pleasant. The other staff seemed worried about everything except the client's convenience and impression. We were asked to leave the interior terrace because they decided to close it, as it’s apparently " the rule" not allowed to be used 🫣. One server even followed clients outside to tell them it wasn’t allowed to smoke while having their drinks with them 🕵️👮🥷 in the middle of the night of course it is "the rule"! The music was pretty nice, we liked it, hits from different times and the prices were reasonable, but if it weren’t for the exceptional service of the Indian waiter, the score would be much lower. He’s truly the one making this place accommodating🙏.

The received response sounds more like a no, sorry, rather than a candid comment.

So, do you mean that your staff is "hunting" anyone who is drinking something from their glass in front of your entrance (outside your premises) to adhere to provincial law? Is that still within your jurisdiction?

Because, in fact, the customers were reproached while they were outside your terrace and premises. On the other hand, a group of people standing right in front of the entrance was drinking beer from bottles freely. This is confusing. Please...

We reserved a table for 2 during the AYCE Tacos evening at 8pm There were no paper menus so we had to go online to see it We waited 20 ish minutes before someone came to take our order (we didn't even get water glasses before that)

Then we learn that out of the 4 AYCE tacos options, only 2 were available (and one hour later, only 1 was left - which contained pork so it's neither halal nor vegetarian friendly) We finally got our first order of tacos 45 ish minutes after our arrival

Apparently the reason why the kitchen was slow is because 24 hours before the restaurant got an ad by Narcity therefore they got more clients than usual so their stocks weren't adapted

The waiter was nice though and offered us free shots, replaced a cocktail that we didn't like for free

What was also weird is that the waiters would start giving the bills to one table, and while this said table was paying, the waiters would go take the order of another table. I don't think it's very polite to go back and forth between tables like that

Food was decent for an 20$ AYCE except for the fact that we didn't get all of the 4 types of tacos

I have been to this establishment several times and I have always had a positive experience, however when I went today I left extremely disappointed. My friend and I ordered 2 drinks and oysters to start off, our drinks arrived at a normal time, but the oysters did not. We inquired after 30 mins about an ETA for the oysters and we were informed they were super busy but they were coming. After another 25 minutes passed without receiving them we asked for our bill for the drinks and to cancel the oysters and we were informed they were never punched in to begin with. The server offered a minimal apology blaming it on the printer and no further...
