It is sad when you go somewhere and seems that (no reason) you are not welcome. After I had a bad day, with my flight to NYC cancelled departing from Montreal today, I needed to stay longer in this town. Then, me and my girlfriend decided to go some good place to drink, eat (me) and plan our further itinerary. When we have arrived to L'entrepôt, nobody cared to seat us (first rule: be trully friendly with others). I asked a table inside, they said "all reserved". Ok. Then we accepted to seat outside, sharing a small table with some girls. 10 minutes later, waiting to order (no one came earlier), a new lady came and I ordered beers. She said to be there and drink it would only be possible if we eat something. Ok. I was starving, anyway, then I said: "I will decide something to eat". But, then, she added: "Both of you need to ask something to eat". My girlfriend didn't want to eat, but she would accept share something to respect the "bar rules". The Lady denied that option, saying both of us should order a something to eat. We looked around, people weren't eating and were drinking. My girlfriend wouldn't pay a meal with no hunger. I said the lady it was a strange rule (no reasonable one) but okay, we wouldn't stay anymore. Meanwhile I was talking to her, politely, explaining that I would express my regret of being in that place, she left me talking alone to give somebody a spoon (?!). When you create weird rules, you should advice clients before them to take seat, maybe, that way, you could save their time and make someone's day a little...
Read more$4.95 per plate of decent size.
Order the taco with cheese (+$1.75) guacamole (+$2) and spicy sauce (+$1). Total for the plate: $9.70.
Order one bock of Stella on tap: $7.50.
You want tiny mayo cup with your fries, that's $1 extra buddy (well, $1.15 with taxes, obviously).
So, if you stay away from the extras and stick to water, you get a nice selection of decent food at an awesome price.
Place is always jam pack, long lineups, the dude at the bar was very friendly and helpful.
The waitress seems extremely annoyed that I ask her for napkins (I'm eating tacos with my hands for crying out loud).
Also, I was over charged and extra drink but didn't catch that mistake before leaving. I'm not in the habit of going through the bill at a restaurant (or anywhere for that matter) looking for mistakes.
It's always busy so, I get that mistakes happens (got there 40 minutes before shifts change). I was my first time there and it could have been way better or way worst.
Don't expect to be ask if your meal is fine, don't wait for salt, water may never come.
If you like this kind of dinning experience, this place is right up your alley. Me, I might go back eventually since now I know what I'm getting into and, they are open until 3:00 AM which is a plus.

Read moreGood food, good price, not worth the terrible service. When it came time to pay, I had a less than $7 bill and left a total of $9 for payment + tip. I watched my waitress quietly slip one of the loonies that I left for a tip, into her pocket when she thought I wasn't looking. She then had the audacity to turn to me and say "the tip isn't included on the bill" yes thank you, I know that. I understand a $2 tip probably isn't great, but tipping is not mandatory, especially when you receive less than mediocre service. Anyway, after I said that there was another dollar she practically ran away and said she would be right back. She came back a few minutes later and snatched the rest of the payment off the table without saying a thing. She also didn't even offer my boyfriend his change back from his bill, he had to ask for it back. I've worked in the customer service industry for a few years & have never experienced something like that before, especially considering that neither of us were disrespectful to her or any of the other staff there. The service a few nights prior wasn't bad at all, our waitress was a total gem compared to the thief that served us this time around. Be very aware if you get the server with short brown hair & a...
