Me and my friend work at the ardene next door and had been really disappointed by the lack of customer service at this location. We went in after work today (15/05/2024) and was once again left waiting at the cash without any sign of any employee. We waited for a few minutes since we were talking, but after our conversation, we were still alone. This took at least 5 minutes (probably more). I eventually asked loudly "we need someone at the cash please" after looking around and not seeing any employee. We were again left waiting. I repeated the same sentence again in the same tone. There was no answer, but we did see an employee walking really slowly towards the front while vacuuming. He never stopped his task to come serve us quicker, instead choosing to continue his talks and only stoped when it led him close enough to the cash.
It is not normal to have to wait so long when we are the only customers at the cash, and it is not normal for an employee to prioritize vacuuming instead of serving customers. The bare minimum would have been to stop his task and come to us as soon as he realized we had been waiting.
We waited longer trying to find an employee than we spend shopping in the store, and this is unfortunate not the first time this kind of situation happened even though this one was more...

I simply told her I will never set foot in the Bulk barn ever again. It’s her lost since we came out of another Bulk barn with a 358.53$...

Items are in bulk so it’s easier to buy small quantities but in my opinion, the prices are similar to retail stores like Walmart, Aubut and Costco. The advantage is that you can buy very small quantities of different items instead of just one particular item.
The sanitary aspect should be looked at! The bins are closed but once opened, cross contamination can occur by dirty hands, saliva or a sneeze that comes into direct contact with the products or scoop.
That being said, the selection of items are truly extensive. I just wished that they had turn method...
