I have never been so upset when ordering a flat white than at this place. The incompetent ‘baristas’ here essentially give you coffee with runny milk. I handed the drink back, told them how to make it properly, was about to receive the wrong drink again, and stated, ‘That’s the problem, there’s too much coffee. It should be 1 shot of espresso to two parts milk.’ Response, ‘Well that’s the way we make it here.’ I replied, ‘That’s not the way it’s made’, to which God’s gift to coffee stated, ‘You’re the only one complaining!’

Read moreI visited that café in an early morning. At first, I really didn’t like the atmosphere. It was sloppy and messy. But in the end, coffee is what mostly brings you in. I was so disappointed. I really expected more. The espresso shot in my latte tasted slightly burnt with a weak coffee body and a slightly bitter taste. I tried their drip coffee and it had an average taste. The latte was pretty awful for a cafe. I think it's the roast they're using. It tastes like super market quality expired beans or a latte from Tim Hortons.
This place really has potential. The owner can easily rectify this by getting a proper roast from many of the good roasters in Montreal or elsewhere. They need to up their game to compete with good near by cafes like st.henri or Oui Mai...
