Came here from Jarry Park after getting a recommendation from a friend and it didn't disappoint! At first they only had the sausage rapini so we got some hot slices and a pitcher of aperol spritz and sat on the terrace ( dog friendly for well behaved dogs, so we brought our little dog. )
We realized we definitely needed more pizza to go with our spritzes and luckily they had just pulled out caciocavallo and pepperoni pizzas so we got some of those and a couple of cannoli. All of the pizza was great! The caciocavllo was definitely the most unique, it reminded me of raclette. Buttery potatoes with melted cheese over. Very tasty. The cannoli were also really good, even after 7 slices of pizza between two people we ate them easily. The cream was super rich and the perfect sweetness.
We went near the end of the day on Saturday (around 530) and it stayed pretty busy for the hour and a half we were there. A lot of people were picking up whole pizzas. One random nice thing that maybe matters more to me than most is they had carbonated water on tap
Read moreThis place has ok pizza and average coffee. It's amazing how gaga all the, I assume, regulars are about this place. The kool aid must taste good laced. I walked in and asked about sandwiches and was told "none today". I then asked if they have wifi and was told "not today. There was a big power failure in the area". Funny thing is how there were a dozen other wifi signals at that time working well. I forced myself to get a pizza slice with not much on them. For a 3.50$, you'd think your 6 bites would be better and heartier. I ordered an Americano double and got a single. I burned my finger as I tried to pick up the cheap glass to drink it. I asked the young lady from France to have something I can put around the glass and she asked if I wanted ice in the coffee. I told her " am I the only one with weak fingers that burn"? She put the coffee in double paper cups and then put her fingers around the empty glass to show me she wasn't getting burned. This was perhaps the worst all around experience at a coffee shop I've ever had. But people just...
Read moreLocation: On St. Zotique east of the main. Street parking is available but metered (and hard to come by!). The closest subways are probably Beaubien or Jean-Talon and then you'll need to walk from there.
The place: Very small walk-in establishment where you essentially get your food to go (or, in these pandemic times, you order online then pick up). The space was clean and a maximum number of 6 people were allowed inside.
The goods: I ordered a slice of the Margherita and man-friend ordered the potato pizza (I forget what it was called). Both slices were fresh, and thick and delicious! My only 'complaint' (if you want to call it that) is that there was exactly one basil leaf on my slice and I would have liked a couple more. But it's not a deal breaker! They also offer a few pastries as well as drinks and coffee.
Service: Good.
This is a great spot for a quick snack or to pick up dinner if you're feeling a little lazy. Since the man-friend didn't let me try his slice, I'm going to have to go back...
