Their coffees & other drinks are good and I think they're better at being a coffee shop + good place to eat lunch and dinner.

However, breakfast is really bad. I strongly do NOT recommended waffles as they are as hard as croutons and even when I asked for another one, it was barely any softer.

Their organization is really bad as I went my family (we were 3 people total) and we ordered our food, but never got it at the same time. It took at least 10-15 minutes between receiving our orders and each food order was not complete.

I ordered an egg + waffle and I had only received the waffle without the eggs, which came 5 minutes later. In the meantime, my boyfriend had already eaten his food so it doesn't get cold 10 minutes ago and 3 sausages were missing from his order, and they came 10 minutes later.

In my order, I had asked jam on the side, but they gave me syrup instead and I'm glad they could correct everything well

They're really better for lunch-dinner options and drinks, I'd never recommend breakfast there.

The first time I went there, customers were talking with the staffs, which doesn't bother me at all until other customers are waiting to be served....

Basically it's the most unorganized staffs I've ever seen (I've worked in fast food too before) though the food is usually good, but poutine fries feels not cooked enough

Staff is friendly, but service is not the best, as if they're too afraid to kick out bad staffs to make this place...

Cafe St-Barth is one of the best cafes in Montreal, definitely the best near McGill. The atmosphere is always buzzing, but quiet enough to stay and work all day. The cafe is also open till 11pm, which is perfect for finals season and for anyone that wants something a bit (a lot) nicer than the other cafes that stay open late near McGill. It's great for anyone looking to study somewhere a lot nicer than on campus, but still want to be close enough to the library. The huge windows which make up two of the walls mean that the cafe is always bright and airy, which is particularly lovely in the summer, and the hanging plants that fill the room add to the upbeat vibe. The menu is great, with every type of eggs you could possibly want. Breakfast is also served until 3pm, which is particularly ideal. The smoothies and juices are delicious and the hot chocolate is one of a kind. There are also pastries and baked goods on display, ranging brownies to almond croissants. The prices are definitely good for the quality of food. The owners are lovely, always warm and friendly, and all the waiters and waitresses are friendly and helpful too. Definitely my favourite cafe to work at...

This one was a hidden gem for us. We arrived there on a Sunday morning about 9:30 am. I don't know much about Quebec's customs but it was not crowded at all (unlike Ontario brunch places at that time of the day), probably half full. The crowd started around 10:30 am. Now when I tell you it was a hidden gem is because the surroundings of this place looked a little rundown and I'm not gonna lie, it felt sketchy. Funny enough after half an hour of being there we saw people jogging, biking, walking their dogs; it felt like a completely different neighborhood in a matter of 30 mins lol. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and it's super hard to miss with the impossing facade. The food was outstanding and the presentation, impeccable. The staff was so friendly and helpful. No complaints. Parking is not hard, but you need to park on the street, they don't have on-site parking. It was cool because we realized that on Sunday you didn't pay where we parked until 1pm and we could park right on the side of the restaurant.

All in all, I fully recommend it, you...

It’s a lovely cozy cafe which looked very good from outside so I tried this last week . Felt it’s a very friendly and welcoming place . I loved the food ….initially I thought portions were not enough but once I completed my food I was pretty full and satisfied. The taste and presentation was pretty good . Hot chocolate was good too . The only thing I felt lacking was though the waitress were good and polite they didn’t come to check on me for a long time and I had to go and tell I am ready to place order ( I don’t know if this is a regular thing ) . Also they didn’t again come to check if I needed anything else . My table didn’t get water for pretty long time and then I had to go n tell twice and then finally the guy came and gave . I knew it’s a busy place but as I observed they were quiet moments too . I would have really appreciated if they were more attending . Apart from this I would say I would definitely go here again . Place is little pricey though but I would say it’s definitely worth trying most items on their menu.

These people messed up waffles. How does one mess up waffles? My husband and I came here on Christmas eve morning because many other breakfast places were closed and this one seemed to be open. First of all, we sat there for an extremely long time before anyone attended to us even though the restaurant was not that busy. Our food looked deceivingly good, but was extremely disappointing to taste. I ordered an avocado eggs benedict which was extremely average, and my husband got some sort of breakfast bagel. He was also extremely disappointed. We thought why not refresh our taste buds and get some belgian waffles? The waffles came, they looked beautiful. I take my fork and knife and try to dig into a piece…I nearly break the plate trying to do so. The waffle was rock hard. It wasn’t cold? So we assumed they were not frozen, they were just extremely bland and hurt our teeth to chew. My husband paid $50 for our meals and was extremely disappointed
