This place is a pretty good spot to kill some time with tea or coffee and pastries in the afternoon. It seems very popular with students and their laptops. The interior is a bit crowded (the furniture is somewhat oversized), but quite confortable. As far as the food and drinks are concerned, we tried the matcha latte and the chai latte and both were nice. We also had the raspberry scone, the oreo cupcake and the salted caramel macaron. Only the macaron was a standout, everything else was fine but nothing special.

We stopped by to grab some tea during our evening stroll of Montreal. The barista welcomed myself, suggested her favorites (Blue Mango Green Tea and Kiwi Melon Black Tea) and brewed them. There was two storefronts worth of various couches and tables where students were studying while lightly chatting, though I noticed the couches weren't as clean or uniform as they could be. If I were a Montreal resident, I would find myself here quite often.

Lovely place to hang out or study. I have been coming every day since it opened after its closure due to COVID and I've been very productive here and the staff have been incredibly helpful and friendly. In particular you can really tell that Chloe the barista has a passion for tea and is so nice and helpful! She deserves a raise! And maybe I will ask her out one day... 😉 Edit: I have asked her out and now she is my girlfriend! 😊

Word of advice: Although the pastries, drinks and overall atmosphere is really great, I wish the owner would let customers be! I've had many experiences, as my friends have as well, where the owner asked us to move tables for other customers. He doesn't let individuals take the red tables, and uses the fake reservation excuse that another review mentioned. There's been a few instances where he's asked me to separate my table to make room for others. I understand where he's coming from, but I honestly believe these things are best communicated between customers, as it feels passive aggressive coming from him. I really would visit more if I didn't feel so watched as a customer. And when I buy pastries, he mentions that I can only stay for an hour, unless I buy a drink. No other coffee shop confronts customers in this manner, for good reason! Overall, I'm giving 4 stars because I genuinely like this place and just want to let the owner know how I, and my friends, feel about his demeanor and how it can change for the better....

I love this place and visit as often as my budget will allow. Great selection of teas, wonderful atmosphere, friendly service and really delicious treats. Expect to find it packed during exam time for good reason. It's the best place to study for exams. Much better than the chain cafes in the area. Also a great place to go on a date or catch up with an friend when exams are over and it's not so busy. There's something cozy about this place that makes it very comfortable and inviting. I recommend it to friends whenever possible. Also, since they're connected to El Mundo, you can buy food at El Mundo and eat it in the lounge (El Mundo is also quite nice by the way). Go buy a pot of tea and try a cupcake. It will put you in a good mood for the rest of your day. Don't forget to tip your...
