I was there for the afternoon game and reserved the ‘family day’ brunch at this restaurant and it ended up being an awful experience. I booked an hour and a half before game start thinking that we would have plenty of time but the service ended up taking forever. It wasn’t before 30min went by that the waiter came by to ask if we had had our entrees. Isn’t his job to know that? He came back 10min Later to ask for the order again because he seemed to have ‘lost’ it. We waited another 20min for the food to show up. The restaurant wasn’t that full so it’s not like the kitchen or the waiters were swamped. The table next to us were given the same treatment but they weren’t as patient and left before they got their food. And once we got our food we were disappointed to say the least. The portions were decent but just not tasty. We had the breakfast burger and breakfast sandwich. Throughout this whole ordeal, the maître D was walking around the restaurant nonchalantly as if everything was normal. He didn’t bother to go to the tables to apologize or explain the situation. However, we do have an issue and can not get it resolved and it is impossible to get any response from anyone at Canti Osteria. We have emailed and called and have not been able to resolve this. We bought tickets and dinner combo for Cyndi Lauper concert on October 18, our tickets were scanned as we entered the restaurant. We had a table reserved and told the host that we had concert tickets/dinner combo. We ordered dinner and drinks and then paid the bill and did not notice till later that the cost of dinner (previously paid for) was not subtracted from the bill. We tried to get back into the restaurant but was not allowed, we called numerous times over the next few days and could not speak to anyone at Canti, we returned to the restaurant on Saturday, October 20 and could not get in. Had Cesar salad as an app, and was there for the Habs game, but the server was honest, there wouldn't be enough time, if we ordered a meal, that it would come out before the first period of the fame would start. But, then came the best part, tell her what you want now, and after the end of the first period, when the 1st intermission starts, come back, same table, leave your jackets here, and everything will be sitting on the table.
