Restaurant 9-4-10 — Restaurant in Montreal

I took my Brother in law to a game vs. the Canucks Nov 9th. I thought I would make the experience even better by taking him to the 9-4-10 Steak house.

The service was weirdly fast, almost as if the plates were prepared in advance. I had asked that my steak be cooked (BLUE) and I had to explain to the server that that is even less cooked than (RARE). The $72 steak, a Faux Fillet, that I had received was grey-brown inside, not red, not even pink. My Brother in Law's chicken was so dry and meager, that I gave him half my steak because I felt bad about his chicken . The Veggies were seasonal and not overcooked, yeah. We weren't even served bread at the table. When I asked the server why there wasn't any bread served, and she brought us bread as I was finalizing payment. Timing is everything.

The only good thing was the $87 bottle of wine. (Tom Gore Cabernet-Sauvignon)

I am taking my daughter to Mtl-Ott on Jan 31, and she wants to experience the 9-4-10, but I am nervous it will be the same as my first experience, too expensive for the poor quality of the meal we...

Front of house and wait staff was friendly, called 6 months in advance to the reservation to make medical dietary requests and was told there was no issue in accommodation, arrived to venue and was reassured by staff, sure enough, one course after another came out with zero regard for the medical requirements. This lack of respect for their profession and customers may very well land a customer in hospital. Apologizes and smiles were offered between every course, sadly you can't eat that. No compensation was offered, our money was taken and the service was not provided. I thought it would be a cold day in hell that I said this, but I'll cheer for the Sens before I EVER Cheer...

They call themselves a steak house yet I don’t think they actually have a grill. Our meat was served directly out of sous-vide so was grey in colour, cold in the middle and didn’t have any flavour. Service was extremely slow. They should have maintained their original high-end buffet offering. Not to mentioned over-priced for what you got....
