So this was my first time at the Bell Center and I went to see Sebastian maniscalco. It was a great show. I had seen some of his videos and was very happy to go see him there. I was third row Center on the floor obviously and we had an amazing view. That was a great time. The Bell Center is is huge but there's people everywhere to guide you if you don't know exactly where to go or what if you need something so that's really good. The only flaw is not really a flaw. It's just that things are very expensive. So I had a double rum and Coke. It was $30. The parking was $40. I had two hot dogs of fry it and a iced tea $30. So those things you know $100 for the parking one rum and Coke and two hot dogs a little bit expensive but you expected right? So it's not a surprise and it's part of the whole experience hence why I gave it a five star because if you're going to go there and no no look at the price of this and that and it's ridiculous and you don't enjoy it. You kind of miss out on the experience so I thought you know. Let's do it. I could have parked far and walked and saved money and I could have eaten before I went and not have to eat and have the single rum and Coke or whatever but it was the experience that was it was worth every penny not just the show. But you know having the Bell Center experience Bell Center experience is a little. It's not free but it's well worth it. You know it was a good time. Good memories you know. So I would suggest to go any event I'm sure is the same. The staff is very, very friendly, very well trained and I see you know there's there's always someone. It's not like you have to find someone. There's people everywhere working there. Their dress is certain way they're available. They're knowledgeable and you can't really at get lost. Or you know some people had a hard time finding their seats. They sat in the wrong seats. A lot of people. It's pretty amazing. You know adults but they couldn't find their seat. So yeah anyways but that's you know. Not the majority obviously you want to go to is going to be a good time. You know and enjoy everything. Go park inside the the Bell Center. Have a hot dog, buy a beer or a drink you know. Treat yourself have the the full Bell Center experience. You're not going to regret it. See if you're having a good time. You can't look at those things. You know it's either you do it or you stay home, but I strongly suggest going go to a show. Go to a game, go to a concert, whatever event. There's many, many events. If you go on their site, you're going to see what's coming up. So go check it out. Get up, get out, buy a ticket, go do it, so you'll really enjoy it. You won't regret it. So yep that's my opinion so don't procrastinate just get up. Get out now all...
Read moreWas there over 12 hours a day all week for the world figure skating championships. The event itself was nice. Good lighting, sound quality, design, etc.
But this venue has some serious problems in basically every other way. There were tons of food counters throughout, but only a couple were open, leading to horrifically long lines and poor food selections. Since you couldn't bring in food and were there all day, I had to eat at them a couple times. Almost every staff member I spoke to was rude and seemingly frustrated that I could not speak much French. They take the cap from all drink bottles and throw it away, making it inconvenient to refill the bottle later with water (and hardly any drinking fountains to fill with). Also, when taking drinks to the seats with no lid, you are likely to spill because there is nowhere to put an open drink when the venue is full - no cupholder and barely enough room for people's legs and feet.
Going in and out was a nightmare as they only had a couple of exits available and you had to have your ticket scanned each time if you were coming back in. People were packed in wall-to-wall trying to exit, turning an hour long break between events into maybe 30 minutes, not really enough time to eat elsewhere without missing the event. Wristbands would have made this process so much smoother, as then we could have utilized more exits.
And finally, the stairs in the arena are some of the steepest I've ever seen, and there are hardly any handrails going down to the seats. My friend has a bad knee and had a very tough week here, especially trying to fight the crowds to use the bathroom or get food.
Overall, I would absolutely avoid ever going to an event here in the future. I hope Skate Canada will consider other venues that are actually willing to make accommodations for the type of event...
Read moreOur experience was based on the World Figure Skating Championships. We were at the Bell Csnfre for seven (7) consecutive days. We were so sorry disappointed and embarrassed for people coming from around the world to partake in this world event.
The security in was friendly and efficient. The process to exit and return for the next event in an hour was chaotic and never had enough staffing.
The food offering and process was so poor that there isn’t a lowest enough rating.
Water fountains are scarce and there are NO fountains to accommodate filling a bottle. Consumers should not need to purchase water in plastic bottles in this era of reducing waste.
The food offerings are seriously unhealthy and uninteresting. One salad only seemed to be available in a “snack outlet”. There were not enough food outlets open for the crowds. There were literally close to 1,000 people in lines during a small one hour time to seek food. Then, they ran out of pizza well before even half the people were served.
The washrooms are poorly designed for crowds. Toilet paper was not double stacked prior to events. Almost all the dryer vents would not turn on.
There is no enough places to sit and eat.
Signage needs to be improved so that you actually know that there is seating at a basement level. Of note, no restaurant facilities were open in the basement either.
Th garbage cans were overflowing each dinner hour (5:00 pm-6:00 pm). There was no staff around looking to maintain cleanliness and order.
There really needs to be a deep walk through this facility from a consumers perspective. Seek out what other cities/countries are doing - want to do...
