Its happening at most franchises - they are messing up the original experience. They dont understand - I tried talking to them and explaining and their faces go blank.
The success is built on what Dic and his family did over 60 years ago. (I miss that guy- he had character and a very nice guy)
Go the Cure Label location - eat their food - his daughter she runs the place and still does it right.
The younger generation of customers and franchise owners and workers are loosing out. Ruining what is an awesome experience turning it into a sub average event. Its hurts everyone that knows what it could be.
I don't know if its because you think you can do better or you are trying to cut corners - you are not the reason the franchise exists. A franchise is a permit to live out someone else's dream and creation. They gave you a permit to recreate goodness - you invested in that goodness. Make it pay.
You were not smart enough to do it on your own!
Think about it.
If you want your own way - Open a Patate Jean Guy.
This is a Dic Anns location - Burger Royalty! - Please follow the rules. You dont place a 16 year old kid on the grill to get trained by an 18 year old kid.
That is what happened a with Mike's Submarines - now ruined!
Fix it - its my 3rd time - probably my last at...
Read moreOmg, first and last time at Dic Ann’s On the way in, I saw a B&W photo of the OG Dic Ann resto… told myself this must be a great place with lots of history.
Quite funny, lived in Mtl for almost 40yrs and never thought about trying until today. Since I was in Marché Central and haven’t ate lunch yet… I was hungry. Gave it a shot for the 1st time…
The menu was simple, no photos of the burgers anywhere. And when the orders in front of me were ready, they were all hidden in a bag and box.
When I got my order, opened it and it was the slimmest flat Joe patty with the thinnest burger bun on this planet. The fries were well fried but many at the bottom were over fried.
Overall experience, not what I expected. It won’t be a 2nd time. Showed it to my wife and she laughed at it.
Still fun...
Read moreUpdate 2021: I've been a loyal customer and advocate of Dic Ann's for over 30 years. No more. Your prices have increased yoy now to an amount i can no longer justify. 15$ for 2 buggers and a poutine without a drink. You guys are creeping on 5 guys territory here and they're constantly blasted for their value:price ratio. Dic and Ann would both be embarrassed at the greed factory their restaurant has become.
Dic Ann's is a staple Montreal burger joint that's been around since 1954. Thin toasted buns with even thinner patties that cook in seconds paired with their special hot sauce makes for a unique burger experience I've never seen elsewhere. Be aware they only use 100% peanut oil for their fries. You lika da sauce? I...
