When we went to the restaurant and entered inside, there was a very bad smell. The water jug was also very dirty, and the glass was scratched. The plate was scratched too, and there were stains on it. We ordered a thali that was listed as $9.99 on the menu. When it came time to eat, they said, “You came late, so you’ll have to pay $2 extra.”
We also ordered papdi chaat as a starter. But 20 minutes later, (no it didnt take 2 hours it is written in error however the rest of details are authentic )to our surprise, they brought both the starter and the main course together. The chaat had a bad smell coming from it, and the sabji (curries) in the thali were all sour. We didn’t even feel like drinking water there because the glass was extremely dirty.
We ordered Coke instead, but even that was served poorly. They put the straw directly on the dirty table.
When we finally began eating, only the garlic naan had any taste. Everything else was extremely bland and disappointing.
When I went to pay the bill, the thali that was shown as $9.99 on the menu — for which they said they’d charge $2 extra — ended up being charged at $12.99. So instead of a $2 extra charge, they took $3 more.
Starting from the ambience, everything was zero — the food, the service… everything was terrible.
response to the owner:- Sir, We went there on Monday at 5 PM now check your cameras, and work on your business, or change the name of the business SARDAR JI should represent authenticity, cleanliness and exceptional services as SARDARS are. i have thrown the receipt but i paid from my debit so here is the proof that this comment is not fake, and thank you for your suggestion on checking on restaurants, but trust me you are not the liable source for that. and SIR, i have told the young server that why did he brought the starter and main course together he said it was both ready so i brought them together, you also need to teach your staff about the meals STARTER COMES FIRST, THEN MAIN COURSE and THEN THE DESSERT in 3MEAL COURSE FOOD, you can thank me for this little information :) thankfuly i didnt ask for dessert there otherwise they would've put the...
Read moreI visited this restaurant with my boyfriend, and our experience was absolutely unacceptable. Your response to our review only proves the lack of professionalism here. Claiming that the person lying in the booth was the owner doesn't make it better — it actually makes it worse. No matter who it was, a customer area is never a place to lie down. If there was an emergency, there are staff areas or restrooms for that.
Accusing someone of being an Uber driver just because they had a phone in their hand is ridiculous, disrespectful, and exposes the shocking ignorance and complete lack of basic etiquettes in this lady. On top of that, your reply was nearly impossible to read due to terrible grammar and incoherent phrasing. Claiming the restaurant is “famous for service” is laughable when the first thing a customer sees is unprofessional, careless behavior, followed by a defensive, incoherent excuse. No number of positive reviews can hide the fact that this experience displayed zero courtesy, respect, or professionalism.
Terrible experience!...
Read moreUsed to LOVE this place when it was Singhs. Food was delicious and fresh. But since it’s been bought by the new owner, unfortunately the quality of food has gone down a lot. I guess they’re trying to cut down costs but it’s very unfortunate. The chicken was not fresh, it had a weird after taste. The sauces are lacking butter and cream. I used to come here every week and never ever felt sick after a meal. However last night I had a pain in my stomach after having dinner here. We usually get the same dishes so we are pretty familiar with how they should taste like, and we all agreed they all tasted different and lacking flavour. This is not as important but the ambience has also changed since the new owner bought it: they put tacky flashing led lights all over the ceiling that could trigger an epileptic attack, tacky Italian red and white table cloths, and even they switched the traditional Indian sauce dishes for ketchup and mustard plastic containers. They also added a gigantic tv blasting...
