Efes Sweets — Restaurant in Montreal

I've been going here since I was a child. One of our favorite go to places to grab a bite when we're in a rush or want something to eat. Ever since the management changed the prices went up which is understandable because of inflation. But the quality has gone down, I'm used to having hot puffy pastries with either chicken, spinach, beef or cheese pies. I hardly see the pies stuffed halfway with the meat, cheese or spinach anymor, some days it's not even fresh when I go at 8am. It's like they rebaked the one from the day before and gave it to me. I'm very dissapointed 😞 I even spoke to the girl in the frunt and she argued with me that it was from this morning. I love shopping at this supermarket, not just for the great products but also for the exceptional staff. They are always so polite and welcoming, making every visit enjoyable. Each time we come to purchase some desserts, we end up sitting and chatting with them for half an hour. The desserts are fantastic – I particularly love the kardelen cake, chocolate milk baklava, and pistachio baklava. The Tahini bun is also of excellent quality. I absolutely love Efes Pastry! It was my first visit, and I was impressed by their delicious pastries. We went yesterday near to closing time, and even though it was his very first day, the gentleman working there welcomed us so warmly and provided excellent service.

We picked up pistachio baklava, kanafeh, and another sweet and honestly, I couldn’t even wait to get home. I finished one right in the car! Everything was so fresh, rich in flavor, and beautifully prepared.
